Pelosi’s decision to reject two of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s five appointees to the panel — Reps. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and Jim Banks (R-Ind.) - make the panel illegal. According to law the OP must be allowed to choose its own people for such a committee.

Oh really? What law are you quoting? Jordan, btw, is dishonest and allowed to turn his back from the law ignoring the sexual abuse of wrestler's at Ohio State. He's also rude and yelled in the committee on impeachment lacking the decorum expected as a member of Congress, and expected of the dignity of an adult. Why the good and moral people of Ohio allowed him to embarrass this lout is beyond their mores.
