It shows that GDP was headed down, down, down in the last year of his administration, and then it made a sharp turn upward after Trump's inauguration.

Trump rode the same curves that Obama started. 6 years under Obama and 2 under Trump and the curves hit record numbers in most sectors.

Here's another attempt to give Obama credit for Trump's booming economy. Here's a clue for you: recessions mostly occur in intervals of less than 8 years. When Trump was inaugurate the economy was overdue for a recession. Yet under Trump it boomed for another 3 1/2 years. Obama doesn't deserve any credit for Trump's economy. None.

Just like it took Obama 2 years to reverse the direction of the Bush economy, which was shedding 500,000 jobs a month when Obama took office, it took Trump 3 years to undercut and destroy the stability of the Obama Economy, and Trump initially did little to undercut the stability except run up the deficit.

But after he consistently failed to address income inequity, and the effects of his toxic tax cuts took effect, it was just a matter of time before the whole lack of a solid fiscal plan or framework cane crashing down. The pandemic accelerated the process that began with cutting taxes and increasing the deficit.

It caused the Reagan Crash. It caused the Bush 43 Crash, and it is the root cause of Trump’s crash. Republicans keep cutting taxes and then going on a spending spree.

These tax cuts are bankrupting the working and middle class and accelerating the transfer of wealth to the top 10%. They are not creating jobs. The crashes are bankrupting all but the wealthiest Americans.

Republicans should NOT be allowed to control the nation’s finances. The are both too corrupt, and fiscally irresponsible, to be allowed access to the nation’s purse strings. They give it all to the wealthy and impoverish working people.

One of the first things Trump did was push Congress to reduce taxes so that people could retain more money that they earned. How does that hurt the working class and middle class? Further, Trump brought manufacturing jobs back that Obama said childishly, would take a "magic wand." Every Liberal Democrat tax plan that calls for the "wealthy to pay more of their fair share" and/or demonizes corporations ALWAYS results in the Middle and Working Class paying more taxes. In campaign season, they make statements that the plan will only impact workers making $XXX,XXX annually; in 2008, that number was $250K. IN 2020, that number is $400K. In both cases, they are arbitrary bullshit thresholds.

Democrat tax plans necessarily require Middle Class to pay more.

Income growth doesn’t come till unemployment numbers hit lows. This is why we saw it when the numbers plateaued. The worlds economy was very different under Reagan than under Obama. That’s not a fair comparison.

They weren't the best ever seen. Income growth was practically nonexistent. The labor participation rate was at record lows. Reagan had a deeper recession and came out of it within a year. It took Obamumer 8 years to achieve the a smaller recovery.

Income growth doesn’t come till unemployment numbers hit lows. This is why we saw it when the numbers plateaued. The worlds economy was very different under Reagan than under Obama. That’s not a fair comparison.

Recessions cure themselves, moron. Obama's only accomplishment was getting inaugurated after the recession had already bottomed out. Despite that, his constant tinkering with the economy dragged out what would have been a short recession into an 8 year long disaster. Obama did nothing to "turn things around." Income growth doesn’t come till unemployment numbers hit lows. This is why we saw it when the numbers plateaued. The worlds economy was very different under Reagan than under Obama. That’s not a fair comparison.

Trump cannot provide a single plan he has for his second term because Trump has no plans and has never had a plan. Last election, he talked about all of his "plans" and said you'd have to elect him to see his plans. Well, you elected him, and he had no plans at all.

In fact, he couldn't even put together a plan for anything and he still has no plans for the nation. He's let disease run loose, crashed the economy, and destroyed the standing and reputation of your country both at home and abroad.

The list you posted aren't "plans". They're "goals". There are absolutely no plans stated. You list says "Add 10 millions jobs. How is he going to do that? A plan says "We will add 10 million jobs to the economy by:

1. Funding education and training for long-term unemployed individuals;

2. Create PPP partnerships around retraining of unemployed workers;

3. Tax breaks for corporations who hire veterans and long term unemployed people."

Three years ago, Trump started 7 trade wars. He hasn't negotiated any peace in any of these trade wars. His one big win - NAFTA 2.0 is in trouble because Trump keeps renegging on the deal and issuing tariffs on Canadian and Mexican trade goods because his poll numbers are down and we're today's designated "bad guys".

Canadians are seriously boycotting American good until you end the tariffs. Exports to Canada are WAY WAY down. Imports from Canada are basically unchanged.

Actually his economic policies are mostly garbage. The unemployment rate was decreasing for 6 years before he was in office and continued that trend till trumps failed pandemic policy. Last year GDP growth went down while running a trillion dollar deficit. Failure.

Actually not.....Obama keeps saying what a horrible recession he had, but his growth was the slowest in like 100 years......Reagan had to deal with a recession and got us out in 1 year, it didn't take like 4 under Obama........and Trump has almost gotten us out of the pandemic recession, in like 4 months WHILE the pandemic is still on........waaaaaaaaaaay faster than Obama...

They weren't the best ever seen. Income growth was practically nonexistent. The labor participation rate was at record lows. Reagan had a deeper recession and came out of it within a year. It took Obamumer 8 years to achieve the a smaller recovery.

Income growth doesn’t come till unemployment numbers hit lows. This is why we saw it when the numbers plateaued. The worlds economy was very different under Reagan than under Obama. That’s not a fair comparison.

You mean the US economy was very different under Trump than it was under Obama. Under the later, it was anemic. Under Trump it was booming. We were headed into another recession under Obama. The labor participation rate was still low. Most of the new jobs during the Obama administration were part time because of the penalties that Obamacare imposed on full time work.
