As government drives home the notion that the rich need to be taxed more, why not start in Congress since only 1% of Americans are millionaires and those in Congress are about 50% millionaires?

The head scratcher is, they make less than $200,000 a year, so how did they become so rich?

This would leave us to the conclusion that taxing their income is not the way to get at their wealth. No, we need to go after their assets.

I guess since they have other means of attaining wealth other than their income, is why they are so adamant about taxing the income of other people who depend on that income for money.

Many wealthy people don't pay taxes if you haven't noticed.

Increasing income tax stops many from becoming rich.

That is the goal of the elites.

But as for the tax, the goal here is not to pay down anything or pay for anything, especially since the US has such a crushing debt already that will never get paid down.

No, the goal is to take the corrupting influences of politics out of the equation. Make it so that it is public service once again rather than hitting the lottery once you win office.,

And very few if any millionaires in our government are volunteering to pay more taxes. Yet they keep reverberating that there are people who are not paying their fair share.
