"Attorneys for Kyle Rittenhouse, who is charged with fatally shooting two people during a protest in Wisconsin last year, argued that hunting laws allowed him to carry the assault-style weapon used during the shootings. Wisconsin law prohibits anyone under age 18 from being armed, but Rittenhouse’s attorneys argued that state laws only forbid minors to carry short-barreled rifles and shotguns.

Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger responded that if the defense wants to tell a jury that Rittenhouse was only hunting, it should do so.
“They can submit evidence that the defendant had a certificate to hunt and he was engaged in legal hunting on the streets of Kenosha that night,” Binger said Kenosha County Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder denied a defense motion to drop the weapons possession charge."

It is quite possible the defense team is just trolling the prosecutors and if so, that is pretty brilliant...this would also give potential jurors a nice laugh to lighten the mood...This also shows that the defense team is pretty confident that Rittenhouse will be found innocent...

The defense claim is that Kyle was allowed to carry an AR-15 styled rifle across state lines to protect businesses there from rioters; because all he was really doing was just hunting....and according to Wisconsin law; this is allowed..although Kyle is not a resident of Wisconsin nor has a hunting license there; however as long as he believed he was hunting, he should be ok...That will help clear him from any weapons possession charge the prosecutors charged him with.

Well it's true. We always welcome our Illinoisan neighbors to the south of us to come enjoy hunting in our beautiful state. As long as they don't exceed the bag limits, there's plenty of antifa shitheads for the locals to hunt.

Besides, it's good game management. If you don't manage the herd properly and cull out some during season, they can deplete the resources.

I just hope Kyle had his kill tested for Chronic Wasting Disease. THat's been a problem here over the last few years.

Fuck off, you low IQ easily brainwashed moron.

If you do not want me issue a fake news alert, then don't post fake news. It's that simple, you fucking imbecile.

In the article you linked to, Antonio Planas makes the false claim that "Wisconsin law prohibits anyone under age 18 from being armed".

Planas' statement is factually incorrect, therefore it's a fake news article.

948.6-Possession of a dangerous weapon by a person under 18.

(a) Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.

The exceptions:

(1) when the dangerous weapon is being used in target practice under the supervision of an adult or in a course of instruction in the traditional and proper use
(2) When a person under 18 years of age who is a member of the armed forces or national guard and who possesses or is armed with a dangerous weapon in the line of duty

Or as the defense tried to bring up.....when the minor is hunting and accompanied by an adult.....

You looking forward to looting and burning a black-owned store after the verdict?

I don't loot nor support and encourage anyone who does loot....

But I bet your dick sucking ass supports any and all methods to overturn an election even if it means storming the Capitol and threatening to hang the VP to do it....

The attorneys are trying to claim that Kyle falls in a loop-hole that only prohibits those under 12....yet the law already lines out the fact that anyone under 18 is restricted.....
The prosecutor said the defense strategy SHOULD be.... the defense team actually said nothing of the kind. Rittenhouse has been charged with a number of crimes. Some are minor, such as the age at which an individual might be armed. The defense is obligated to defend against each of these accusations not just the major ones.

The prosecution's case is going very badly. Those who support punishing this heroic young man will grasp anything.

This section does not apply to a person under 18 years of age who possesses or is armed with a dangerous weapon when the dangerous weapon is being used in target practice under the supervision of an adult or in a course of instruction in the traditional and proper use of the dangerous weapon under the supervision of an adult.

Kyle was under adult supervision. Video evidence shows him being supervised by a veteran army medic.

Contrary to your idiotic and ignorant drivel, Kyle's defense did not argue that he was hunting.

You're an imbecilic ignorant idiot and a pathetic liar. Why do LWNJ moonbats such as yourself consistently base your political opinions on lies?

LOL

So your argument is that Rittenhouse was engaged in target practice or a course of instruction as he walked the streets of Kenosha that night while armed with a rifle??

You'd make an even worse attorney for him than his current attorney.
