New Leftist Line: Benghazi Was Chris Stevens' Fault, And He's Dead, So Let's Move On

Not about 9-11, Bush, Clinton or anyone but Barry and his State Department.

BTW Bush didn't allow anyone to die. The dirtbags who flew the planes did that.

Clinton had the same info and passed it to Bush. Clinton had that info longer than Bush did. I guess Clinton should have shut the whole country down on vague warnings. I doubt the American people would have put up with that for long.

Whatever floats your boat.

Analogies are not your friend.

Well Clinton had the same info. He passed it to Bush. Should he have shut the whole country down??

He also had several opportunities to kill UBL long before 9-11 but he didn't take them. Guess he's to blame for the attack then. Right.

How many times do you need to be reminded who was President and CinC on 9/11/01?

Can you imagine the uproar if this had happened under the Bush Administration? There would have been rioting in the streets...

It did happen under the Bush administration and everyone rallied around the President

Not quite.

9/11 was a direct attack on American soil; continental American soil. A thought that was previously inconcievable.

Embassy attacks have been happening since the 70's in many different forms. A lot different when we are in a hostile country and are informed of a possible threat that's pending. There are procedures and protocols that should be in place to follow should an attack occur.

Reviewing what happened and when may be a politically motivated endeavour for some but the real heart of the matter is to find out where the miscommunication was so our other embassies don't experience similar results.

The main difference is that we have the Republican Monday Morning QBs telling us what should have been done

How many times to you need the reminder that Clinton had the same intel and did nothing about it.

If he had we might not have had a 9-11. Oh wait. That means he would have had to take a guess where the attack was coming and when. Guess he and Bush were in the same boat. Never mind.

Agreed. It's best if you stop digging now....

That's going to happen no matter what. Had the president been an R and Benghazi was exactly the same, Democrat Monday Morning QBs would be breaking it down all the same. That's the game.

The situation though needs to be analyzed and corrected. They need to find out what failed so it doesn't happen again.

Whoa...just look how Bush "corrected" us after 9/11. I hope you are not for getting the TSA involved in this too....

Bush also took care of it, we didn't get attacked on our soil after that. Obama knew what was going on and went to bed, then got up and went to vegas. Also the ft. hood shooting happened on obama's watch. Oh yeah that wasn't a terrorist attack, it was work place violence. It's funny how stupid liberals get when their man is in charge.

Dude, this is benghazi. If you want to start a Bush caused 9/11 thread, the conspriacy board is a little down on the main page.

Liars.

As you may have noticed, the Wingnut Noise Machine is seriously pushing the notion that President Obama deliberately sat back and did nothing when a Libyan militia attacked the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi on Sept. 11, apparently because he is either incompetent (the “charitable” view) or because he just plain hates America that much (the “reasonable doubt exists” view). It turns out that, according to intelligence officials, CIA agents stationed in Benghazi actually did come to the aid of the Consulate, as did a second CIA team sent from Tripoli, and Libyan military forces helped the surviving Americans get to the airport to escape after the attack. The officials also directly refuted Fox News’ claims that the CIA was ordered to “stand down,” and also dismissed the notion that airstrikes could have helped anyone in the consulate:

“Let’s say we were able to get an aircraft there. Do you go in and start strafing a populated area without knowing where friend or foe is?” a senior Defense official asked. “If you did that, you could kill the very people you are trying to help.”

Also, too, in the buried lede department, a New York Times story on the attack suggests that the intelligence officials briefing the press may have been just as interested in bureaucratic ass-covering as in slapping down the right-wing narrative:

By underscoring the C.I.A.’s previously unpublicized role in mobilizing the evacuation effort, the officials seemed to be implicitly questioning the State Department’s security arrangements in Benghazi

Well color me shocked.

Wingnut Noise Machine??

The first sentence. Guess these guys aren't biased. LOL

"Or maybe he just let the Consulate burn because that’s where all his college records were stored."

I love the sub title on the "article" (can it be called that)? "For once we're rooting for the CIA guys".

Rooting for implies that you favor what they were doing. Later in the ...let's just call it a blog post, the author alludes to the fact that the CIA simply had more people there and that it was more their fault for not handling the situation. So shifting blame. Not "no harm no foul."

Either way you look at it, obamaturd and his stooges failed and four Americans died, and then lied for two weeks. Fire them all.

It was just a matter of time until liberals started blaming the Ambassador for his own death. They probably whisper in cocktail parties a "homo shouldn't be in Libya."

Conjecture, that's what you're reporting. How about those conservative cocktail parties where I assume they're saying, "Let's drive the country over the cliff. That'll show him"? How can you defend that kind of blatant sabotage of the economy?
