I do a lot of concert photography, so I was able to go back through my hard drives and see who I've photographed over the years. Those bands listed with an asterisk are shows I photographed, either for a publication, as tour photographer (which was the case for Barenaked Ladies and Goo Goo Dolls), or as a house photographer. I'm sure there are some bands I didn't shoot, but saw in concert, and just don't recall the show. I'll add more if I remember them. Unfortunately, many of the concert photos from when I lived in San Diego were lost when I moved from Portland, Oregon to St. Augustine, Florida. If anyone wants to see some, I'll oblige where I can.

Anyway, there 'tis for me.

What's yours?

Hey, I was never a big Duran Duran fan, but they fuckin' killed it in concert...

Electric Light Orchestra - 1981
Huey Lewis and the News - 1983
Aerosmith - 1986
R.E.M. - 1986

After that, didn't attend another one unless you count end of technical conference concerts that the attending
companies always put on in Orlando, Vegas, and San Fran.

Those included English Beat, Fall Out Boy, OneRepublic, and Duran Duran.

Recently (sort of),
Peter Cetera - 2015
Barry Manilow - 2017

Just kidding.
I have not been to very many compared to most posting in this thread. And most concerts I've attended are not big name groups/individuals.

Collin Raye
Michael Card
Carman
Some Celtic Group..... don't remember the name but they were pretty good. However, my expectation of a concert is that I can sit back, tap my feet and listen to the music. I went to this concert with a lady friend that liked the group. There was no seating, it was standing room only in a group of people screaming much of the time. I like having my personal space.

in the 70's i seen so many i might as well just say just about every 70's group....i hung with a musician who knew people in the music business who was always giving him free tickets to all the major venues....

That's one nice list of shows ....and ya got paid to go ?....double sweet

I dont even wanna think about mine right now

I also have never seen Duran Duran but that’s also going to change in three months, they are one of my three favorites so I am super excited.

I was surprised at how great a show they put on. I can't say I was ever really a fan, but they brought it hard...

When did you see Duran Duran,we’re you super close to the stage.

I'm one of the house photographers at the venue they played so, yeah, I was kinda' close...

Wow yours is almost as long as his is.

I mentioned earlier thst I saw The Beach Boys, what I left out is thst it was three years ago before COVID.i only git to be so fortunate because I have a friend who is a councilman in Kansas City here who is part of the Nlcs whom were able to get them to come.thankfully I am friends with him or I would more than likely be going to my grave the day when that time comes unable to say thst I got to see them, that was definetetly a once in a lifetime opportunity thst will not happen again, thst is why I cherish these upcoming chances I will have to see pat benatar and Duran duran soon because they could very well be a once in a lifetime opportunity as well, you never know how much longer they will be around, the beach boys only have two of the original members of the band left performing so thst was definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity I got to have and won’t ever have again.

Sure wish Bob Seeger changes his mind and makes another tour in a couple years or so otherwise looks like I blew it.
