Texas governor and Republican pr!ck Greg Abbott’s threat to have the state’s Democratic legislators arrested upon their return, was met with the offer by the NAACP to post bail for those arrested U.S. patriots.
The fifty-seven lawmakers made it clear they are willing to remain in self-imposed exile for long as is necessary to deny the GOP the quorum needed to convene a special legislative session.
In a statement reported in “The Hill”, Derrick Johnson, president of the NAACP, referred to the war on democracy being waged by the trump-controlled Republicans by saying, “We will support anyone who stands up to defend it," adding, "We are fully invested in good trouble.”
