A lie being promulgated is that the “ancient” land of “palestine” was created by “palestinians” Well, no...

Ancient “palestine” never existed. The Middle East is a region of ancient civilizations, but “palestine” was not among them. “Palestine” is an English word derived from a Latin word—palaestina—first imposed on Jews’ land, ancient Israel, which referred to Philistines. The Philistines were non-indigenous, non-Semitic Greek invaders to ancient Israel known as the Sea Peoples having originated from the Aegean and Med. Seas. Roman Emperor Hadrian attempted to erase the Jewish heritage and history of the land in retribution for a Jewish rebellion against Roman occupation. Greek Philistines were enemies of the ancient Israelites. Philistines, extinct since the 6th century BCE, were completely unrelated to Arabs who fairly recently adopted the illegitimate “palestinian” identity.

The Roman name palaestina was later anglicized by European Christians into “palestine” which was the name temporarily adopted by Britain for the name of the British Mandate, British palestine.

Interestingly, Jews were originally called “palestinians” by the British in British palestine, until becoming Israelis. Arabs vehemently rejected the names “palestine” and “palestinian” as Western colonialist inventions. Arabs historically called Syria “Sham” which dismissively means “land to the left”

Only much later, in the 1960s, did Arabs, looking around for something to call themselves, begin identifying as “palestinians” though without the letter p in Arabic, Arabs cannot write or even say “palestine” or “palestinian” in their own Arabic language

Oh, for the love of Christ. When the Europeans first came to Palestine, there were people there. These people had ties to that land for CENTURIES. There was no "people without a land" as they lived in Europe and America and Australia, etc., and the idea of "a land without a people" is preposterous. End of story.

The Arab Palestinian people exist. It doesn't matter where they came from, what they care to label themselves, or when any of it happened. They exist. They self-identify. They aren't going anywhere. And denying them is not only pointless and silly, it is deeply harmful.

At the same time, the Jewish people exist. It doesn't matter that they were forced into a thousands year long Diaspora, what they care to label themselves, or when any of it happened. They exist. They self-identify. They aren't going anywhere. And denying them is not only pointless and silly, it is deeply harmful.

And if everyone who can not digest and incorporate those two simple statements would get off this board, the four of us remaining would solve the conflict in less than a week.

Jesus, a devout Jew, is called King of Israel (not palestine) in the Bible. Was he European?

Why do you care? Of more relevance is the lie that the United States was founded by WASPs. The United States was founded in 1776, but the term "WASP" wasn't used until the 1950s. Q.E.D.

Funny, why is history relevant in the part of the world where history literally began?! LOL

The God Damned lying sons of Satan (aka "Jews") called Jesus king of the Jews, not Israel. When Jesus was asked if he were the king of the Jews, he did not agree.

Jesus said the Jews were God Damned lying sons of Satan -- not exactly the people he would consider himself king of. Supporting a Jewish state is absolutely antithetical and incomparable with Christianity.

In modern terms, the Jews stole the land from the indigenous people, and attempted genocide against those same people, in the first place. And, the so-called Jews today style themselves after the most evil elements of Jews in the Bible and they are trying to steal the land. Under international law, the land the Zionists captured in 1967 is stolen.

The same people lived there before and after it was called Palestine.

So I don't see your point.

Palestine was a province of Syria by 500 BC according to the Greek historian Herodotus. By the early 1900s every one who lived in Palestine were called Palestinians Jews, Muslims and the Jewish minority. Has nothing to do with Philistines.

Herodotus’ term “circumcised Syrians” refers to Jews, who existed long before he was born.

Yes, and he referred to Palestine as a province of Syria. Syria-Palestine...

The Jews were probably Canaanites from Ras Shamra. The Ugarit tablets are very old and contain earlier versions of the old testament stories.

Remember Sargon and the Akkadians were from the Arabian peninsula.

Syria is a Greek word. It wasn’t related to the modern state of Syria created after World War 1.

Palestine
(Arabic: فلسطين, romanized: Filasṭīn), officially the State of Palestine(دولة فلسطين, Dawlat Filasṭīn), is a de jure sovereign state located in Western Asia, it is officially governed by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and claims the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. However, its claimed territory has been occupied by Israel since the Six-Day War of 1967;
State of Palestine - Wikipedia

Palestine, area of the eastern Mediterranean region, comprising parts of modern Israel and the Palestinian territories of the Gaza Strip (along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea) and the West Bank (west of the Jordan River).

The term Palestine has been associated variously and sometimes controversially with this small region, which some have asserted also includes Jordan. Both the geographic area designated by the name and the political status of it have changed over the course of some three millennia.

The word Palestine derives from Philistia, the name given by Greek writers to the land of the Philistines, who in the 12th century BCE occupied a small pocket of land on the southern coast, between modern Tel Aviv–Yafo and Gaza. The name was revived by the Romans in the 2nd century CE in “Syria Palaestina,”

On 3 March 2021, the Prosecutor announced the opening of the investigation into the Situation in the State of Palestine. This followed Pre-Trial Chamber I's decision on 5 February 2021 that the Court could exercise its criminal jurisdiction in the Situation and, by majority, that the territorial scope of this jurisdiction extends to Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.

After finding proof that Palestine did exist way back then I decided to look for evidense of Israels existense. I could not find any historical referense to the state of “Israel” until 1947ad. Having said that I did find a biblical reference to “Israel”.

Genesis 32:28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

Israel was a person, not a place.

Palestine Before Israel - Maps

Palestine is just a Western nickname for Israel, dating back to Roman use. It’s an English word. Palestine in Western maps signifies the land of Israel. No place actually existed in the Middle East named Palestine.
