My Healthcare Proposal

I think one of the biggest things that cause problems here is the fight between two different political parties.

One party wants higher taxes, tighter regulation, and socialized everything. The other wants low taxes, more competition, less regulation, and for each citizen to purchase everything on their own if they want the service.

These problems will never be fixed because we have two different parties that are the complete opposite of each other.

America seems to be a follower with many of today's new technology, not a leader. I just gave you examples: slow bank transfers, lack of NFC technology, lack of chip and pin credit cards.

But we're not followers, that's the point I am trying to get you to understand. Every example you just cited was originated in the US. We introduced it to the world.

The cable and wireless industry isn't regulated enough by government.

Nonsense.

I agree it is ridiculous how corporate clowns like Tim Cook try to purchase political influence. When other countries provide their citizens with much cheaper phone plans and faster internet (except Canada), we definitely have some improvements to make.

Isn't there some kind of law against bribery that needs to be taken against these corporate clowns?

No, there's no law against crony corporatism. They operate within the law and with the blessing of quislings like yourself who continue to elect the same corrupt bunch of politicians who are bought and paid for by the corporatists who just keep on rolling. You stupidly believe your "democratic socialists" are saving you from the evils of the capitalist while they are taking bribes in the form of legal campaign contributions to pick the winners and losers. The chosen few who have greased the palms of the right politicians have eliminated their competition and you get crappy cell phone and internet service. All the while, the snowball grows bigger, government takes more individual liberty and crushes more free enterprise and free market competition. And they've got you worked into a frenzy demanding more of the same government collusion.

What you don't seem to get is, this has been the nature of Socialism for 150 years. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. The more power you hand over to your government the less freedom you have. The more you allow government to regulate and mandate, the worse the problems become.

Free market capitalism is the most benevolent and beneficial system because it allows competition in the market of ideas. New cell phone and internet companies can flourish and thrive without the burden of regulation to provide you with better alternatives. The inferior companies fail and go out of business. You will never fix these problems until you reduce the power of government so the corporatists have nothing to purchase the influence of.

Well we've always been a two-party system and that's not going to change. The problem is world view. Some people have been duped by Marxist-Socialists into believing the merits of Socialism... despite it's dismal historic record. I think it was Friedrich Hayek who said, "If Socialists understood economics they wouldn't be Socialists."

Now guess what.... since the beginning of our nation, 240 years ago, we've had the same competing world views to varying degrees. The pendulum swings back and forth about every generation or so. However, over the past 70 years, we've been saddled with more Progressive policies than any time in our history and our problems have become almost insurmountable.

But Progressives live in the moment and have no real understanding of history. They are easily fooled by pointing to "other countries" and citing bogus trumped up statistics which never convey the true picture. They believe in nonsense because they want to believe in Utopia. Karl Marx figured this out a long time ago.

We didn't start any of that stuff... Chip wasn't originated here, and contactless payments was a flop in the U.S.

Yes, chip and pin technology is owned by EMVCo LLC. out of Foster City, CA. NFC technology, also known as RFID was invented by Charles Walton of Maryland through his company in Silicon Valley. We're not talking about what was a flop or a hit but where the technology originated. As I said, correctly, all the examples of technology you cited were originated in the US.... as is MOST modern technology. There are some examples of French, German and Japanese improvements on technologies... I think the French were instrumental in constructing protocols for EMV but that doesn't change who invented it.

However we're last in the civilized world to use such technology.

Well no... we're not last in the civilized world to use such technology, that's just rhetoric from someone who doesn't believe in the exceptionalism of America. There are things that don't work well here, but a lot of them have to do with massive government over-regulation. Free market capitalism simply cannot work efficiently when it is over-burdened, stifled and smothered by government bureaucracy.

247 years ago, our founders put forth a bold new system of government that had never been attempted before. Built on the idea that man has an inalienable right from God to manage his own affairs and govern himself. Within about 120 years, we went from being a fledgling new upstart country to the largest and most powerful superpower the world has ever seen and it was primarily due to our unique free enterprise, free market system, with constitutional freedm endowed by our Creator. Now... that's just a fact of life, whether you like it or not, whether you agree with it or not.

I can't debate propaganda churned out by Socialists who hate and loathe America. You've obviously drank that koolaid and nothing anyone can say to you will change your mind. All I can do is tell you that you need to go study some world history and educate yourself. The Socialist system that you support has been a disaster everywhere it has been attempted. It may look good on paper, it fails in practice. That's why it constantly has to be re-invented under a new name and trotted out again.
