Musk Offers to Buy Twitter Again. At Same Price He Offered Earlier

It sounds as if he is avoiding a long lawsuit and/or the information that may be made public in the Discovery Phase? Or, is there a more complicated technical legal reason for him making this offer while the lawsuit continues?

It does seem odd to me as one would believe he has the resources to fight this forever. However, if the price drops very low, is he worried there might be a record judgement in which he might be responsible for the price drop, pay Twitter for damages for the decrease due to his public statements/reneg of the deal while receiving no actual ownership in the process?

Better to actually pay the full price and own the company rather than pay billions + legal fees for nothing (anyone want to wager through some outside third party source he bought many shares before this recent statement?)

Just throwing out some theories.

Elon Musk totally understands the war in the Ukraine to be America's war against Russia. That's a given.

His priority is in him being able to assert his great influence by raising his plan for peace, and Twitter would give that to him.

There's a backswell of antiwar sentiment in America's domestic political right, that is waiting to be nurtured. Elon's plan of making the Ukraine into a 'neutral' has great potential.

It only has to get by Biden's prowar stance, and Biden's stance being propelled by America's need for world hegemony.

And of course, along with those factors is the great risk of an unlimited war with Russia.

What other great cause could be more important to Elon Musk? He stands to lose everything!
