Brooker was forced to face an ethics committee after she refused to sign a letter supporting homosexual adoption as part of a social-work class taught by Kauffman. The committee questioned Brooker for two and a half hours, asking questions such as, "Do you think gays and lesbians are sinners?" and "Do you think I am a sinner?"

It is disgraceful that this student had to go through that, but I was relieved to see the outcome in the article. I do think though, that had the Prof asked a student to sign something conservative or religious, he would have been fired; not just given the semester off.
