EAST LANSING - Michigan State University has denied a request from a white nationalist group that sought to rent space on campus for a speaker.

On Wednesday, MSU President Lou Anna K. Simon released a statement that said the National Policy Institute wants to have a speaker on campus, and that MSU was "reviewing the request closely in light of the deplorable violence in Charlottesville, Va. last weekend."
MSU won't let white nationalist group speak on campus

I agree with this decision. Its a very diverse culture in mid MI.

National Policy Institute is nothing but a white nationalist group.

They really do not need to speak at colleges. Let them rent halls and sell tickets.

You say it's a very diverse culture at MSU. If that's the case, then why shouldn't they hear diverse opinions?

Missou has had such a loss in students that they have had to close a big part of the campus. It should close completely and maybe in another year or two it won't be able to afford to stay open.

Colleges should embrace a diverse array of speakers and opinions. But that doesn't mean they should give a platform to EVERYONE.
