Mossad using Fox and Werritty as 'useful idiots'

The real reason Liam Fox had to resign was not a grubby little money scandal about firms funding Adam Werritty as he jetted round the world with the Defence Secretary. It was much more important, and much worse, than that.

Last Sunday, ‘friends of Liam Fox’ were letting it be known that the investigation of Werritty would bring up nothing scandalous.

These friends were widely reported as saying that Werritty’s funding came from those wishing to promote U.S. and Israeli interests to the British government.
The British Defence Secretary should be exclusively concerned with the interests only of Britain.

I don't know whether Mossad was involved, though that obviously would go with this but there is no question that sinister links are appearing between Fox and neo-con's in the US which are going to have to be answered

Fox's organisation, which was wound up last year following a critical Charity Commission report into its activities, formed a partnership with an organisation called the American Legislative Exchange Council. The powerful lobbying organisation, which receives funding from pharmaceutical, weapons and oil interests among others, is heavily funded by the Koch Charitable Foundation whose founder, Charles G Koch, is one of the most generous donors to the Tea Party movement in the US. In recent years, the Tea Party has become a potent populist force in American politics, associated with controversial stances on global warming.

Murphy writes: "With each passing day there have been fresh allegations of money and influence and it appears that much of the source was the Atlantic Bridge network and its US rightwing connections. We need to know just how far and how deep the links into US politics go. This crisis has discovered traces of a stealth neocon agenda. For many on the right, Atlanticism has become synonymous with a self-defeating, virulent Euroscepticism that is bad for Britain."

Liam Fox resignation exposes Tory links to US radical right | Politics | The Observer

The Thatcher conservative Government bordered far right and it looks like this one is the same and with much of what is being revealed going completely against the image Cameron presented as having moved away from the Thatcher time. Included in this are their ties with not only these global warming sceptics but grouping with such in the EU while they presented a pre election image of being green, their decision to nominate for police commissionaire someone who wants the police to act as 'rat catchers rather than social workers' and wanting to scrap parts of the Human Rights Act.

'Noble lies' can sometimes be easily found. Thankfully people are on to them now. Thankfully they are in a coalition. Hopefully this will finish them.

Far right neo-cons not for the UK. :eusa_hand:

You don't even know what neocon means, twat. Children and those with child-like minds, like you, should refrain from adult terms they don't understand.

OK, I've found this now in the Independent. Seems this Werritty guy was going around in Iran handing out British cards pretending he was working for Britain and trying to organize an uprising and he had managed to impress Israel that he was someone important. He has been descripted as a 'rouge operator' who was

so highly regarded by the Israeli intelligence service Mossad – who thought he was Mr Fox's chief of staff – that he was able to arrange meetings at the highest levels of the Israeli government, multiple sources have told The IoS.

Mr Fox resigned on Friday after a stream of revelations surrounding his dealings with his adviser, centring on 18 meetings abroad at which Mr Werritty was present, including in Dubai, Sri Lanka and Israel, and 22 at the Ministry of Defence. After vowing to fight the disclosures a week ago, Mr Fox quit the Cabinet on Friday when details emerged of the business and intelligence interests of Mr Werritty's financial backers.

-snip-

At the height of the storm surrounding Mr Fox last week, "friends" of the MP tried to distance him from Mr Werritty by describing him as a "Walter Mitty" figure, to the fury of Mr Fox.

Yet the access to senior government figures Mr Werritty enjoyed across the globe suggests otherwise. Mr Werritty, said one source, worked closely with US-backed neocons who thought they could "bring down Ahmadinejad".

-snip-

In February this year, Mr Werritty arranged a dinner with Mr Fox, Britain's ambassador to Israel, Matthew Gould, and senior political figures – understood to include Israeli intelligence agents – during an Israeli security conference in Herzliya, during which sanctions against Iran were discussed. Despite Mr Werritty having no official MoD capacity, an Israeli source said there was "no question" that Mr Werritty was regarded as anyone other than Mr Fox's chief of staff who was able to fix meetings at the highest levels, and was seen as an "expert on Iran".

One of Werritty's "Backers" was Tetra Strategy a lobbying firm run by Lee Petar, the former director of communications at Bicom,

The Israelis are very good at pirating other people's technology. What if they sell mine to our enemies?

Adam Werritty used his relationship with Liam Fox to obtain highly sensitive, technical details of a military communications system used by Coalition special forces in Afghanistan.

A web of overt and covert backers, some with close links to Israel, are revealed in the bank records of Pargav Ltd, a company that did little else than fork out more than £150,000 in a year to pay for Mr Werritty’s first-class flights, hotels and nights out at New York strip clubs.

Backers include tycoon Poju Zabludowicz, chairman of the pro-Israel lobby group Britain Israeli Communication Research Centre (BICOM), and millionaire Michael Lewis, BICOM’s former deputy chairman.

No, and I'm not for hanging anyway..but it looks like Werritty is going to be arrested for fraud - for pretending to be an advisor to our foreign secretary. From there other charges could follow. If it is found that Fox actually knew he was up to this then I imagine he will be arrested to and if we discover Cameron knew about it then who knows..

What I find a bit disconcerting is that the BBC seem to be downplaying all this, trying to make out that Labour are making a fuss over nothing (and who knows they may have been up to similar!). Of course the BBC is now run by Mark Thompson and is totally bias.

It just seeps of corruption to me. Look again at the Atlantic Bridge and it's relationship with teapartiers
But, although few of the business leaders knew much about the shadow defence secretary, they were familiar with his charity, the Atlantic Bridge. This was the organisation whose patron, Lady Thatcher, was lionised in the US for her support of the free market and American military airbases on British soil. It was the organisation whose members in 2004 were ushered into the White House to be briefed by Karl Rove, George W Bush's special counsel. And it was the organisation whose cocktail parties in the Carlton Club in London and Charlie Palmer's steakhouse in Washington were high points of the transatlantic social calendar.

Shortly after addressing the business leaders at Pittsburgh's Duquesne Club – "the finest city club in the country"– Fox explained that the Atlantic Bridge promoted the special relationship between the UK and the US by creating "a network of individual people who can know one another". He declared: "We are trying to bring people together who have common interests and to recognise that in an ever more globalised economy, we will all be called upon to defend those common interests."

Liam Fox's Atlantic Bridge linked top Tories and Tea Party activists | Politics | The Observer

Gov members of this rogue 'charity' included George Osborne and William Hague as well as Fox.

And yes, funding and lobbying, that is what political life is all about now, not democracy. Cameron is promising new regulations around lobbying. Since we began to get strong friends of Israel funding from around 2000 for all main parties we totally changed our position on Israel so that she overnight started to be called our 'ally'.

I have felt we should have no outside founding for political parties. Let them get of their arses again and come around communities and start working for the people and what is good for the people and the world rather than what fills their pockets.

The good thing and the hopeful thing is that the Gov is a coalition. The LibDem's have made themselves all but unelectable by prostituting themselves with the Conservatives but I think there are going to be very few of them who are going to want to be seen dead linking arms with tea baggers and neo con's. Hopefully they will see this as an opportunity to rehabilitate themselves with the electorate so that this does not manage to sneak under the carpet. If any kind of treason is found hopefully that will also be brought out - by those new 'rat catching' police. ;)

It could end the Conservatives.

Hammond linked to millionaire backer behind Fox's charity - UK Politics, UK - The Independent

and on Hague

and this is a good article for the nitty gritty.

What we know

Adam Werritty, Liam Fox's best man and former flatmate, posed as the then Defence Secretary's adviser and met him 40 times at the Ministry of Defence and on official visits around the world, despite not being on the payroll.

What we need to know

What was his relationship with Fox? Did he do any work for him or to fund his political objectives? What was his real business? How often did the two men meet outside of the MoD but in the UK? Did Werritty profit from his relationship with the Defence Secretary? Was Fox involved in raising money to fund Werritty's work?

Werritty's influence behind the scenes

What we know

Werritty's meetings with Fox included a dinner in Florida with US General John R Allen, before he became commander of Nato forces in Afghanistan. But further events, including a lavish dinner in Washington last year hosted by the US branch of the Atlantic Bridge charity, were not declared. He also had access to Fox's ministerial diary.

What we need to know

Why was Werritty allowed such access and did he profit from it? Are there more undeclared meetings and who were they with? Why was he shown the diary and did he observe strict secrecy over its contents?

Other aides

What we know

Fox faced questions last year over his decision to install Luke Coffey, a former US army captain, in the MoD as his special adviser. He subsequently angered the military when he forced through the appointment of Lieutenant-Colonel Graham Livesey as a second military assistant in his private office. He also took advice from US defence lobbyist John Falk, whose job was to help military companies win contracts.

What we need to know

Did his range of unconventional advisers affect his judgement on key decisions? Was Fox unduly affected by the influence of sectional interests, including lobbyists and consultants
?

Sri Lanka

What we know

Fox set up, with Werritty, the Sri Lanka Development Trust to fund post-conflict and redevelopment in the country after the civil war. Fox and Werritty met in Sri Lanka in July this year, when the then Defence Secretary held talks with the president and senior ministers. But the trust is not registered as a charity or a company in the UK.

What we need to know

What was Werritty doing in Sri Lanka? What does the trust do? Who works for it and who funds it? Is its work in line with UK foreign-policy objectives?

Iran

What we know

Werritty went to Iran with Fox in the summer of 2007, and it is believed Werritty went to the country alone on several occasions. He has also met with Iranian opposition groups in Washington and London, amid claims he was involved in efforts to topple President Ahmadinejad.

What we need to know

Did Fox know the extent of Werritty's travels to Iran? And were the trips licensed by him? Did Fox know Werritty was trying to topple the Ahmadinejad regime, and if so, did he try to stop it?

The USA connection

What we know

Fox, described as "a committed Atlanticist", has strong links with a series of American organisations and visits the country often. His former aide Mike Threadgould is now in Washington with the right-wing American Enterprise Institute. However, opponents criticise Fox's links with the American Legislative Exchange Council (Alec), a major US lobbying organisation which set up a sister charity also known as Atlantic Bridge, and funded Fox's organisation with £28,528.

What we need to know

How close is Fox to the neo-conservative element in US politics? How close are his ties with Alec, and does he share the policy goals of the US Atlantic Bridge? Were these entirely in line with UK government policy while he was at the MoD?

You forgot to take your anti-psychotic medication?

The real reason Liam Fox had to resign was not a grubby little money scandal about firms funding Adam Werritty as he jetted round the world with the Defence Secretary. It was much more important, and much worse, than that.

Last Sunday, ‘friends of Liam Fox’ were letting it be known that the investigation of Werritty would bring up nothing scandalous.

These friends were widely reported as saying that Werritty’s funding came from those wishing to promote U.S. and Israeli interests to the British government.
The British Defence Secretary should be exclusively concerned with the interests only of Britain.

Read more: Was Mossad using Fox and Werritty as 'useful idiots'? Ex-Ambassador reveals how links made by 'advisers' set alarm bells ringing | Mail Online

It is looking like this has longer and deeper roots and may be about covert operations for war against Iran with the US, UK and Israel - very much the situation we are now hearing simmering in the background. The part missed here concerns Matthew Gould. the British Ambassador to Israel and former Ambassador to the US.

Britain had a policy of not appointing a Jewish ambassador to Israel due to the possibility of conflict of interest. No surprises, Blair decided to end this and now we have it would appear an fanatical Zionist posing as the British Ambassador and planning wars - not exactly an Ambassadors job. Obviously this has, as we feared been quietly put to the side. Shame on the LibDems. I agree with Murray, if this is true, he should be recalled immediately - and sacked or worse.

(Note: This is just the second half of the article. The full article can be found at the link below.)

Matthew Gould was Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy in Iran, a country which Werritty frequently visited, and where Werritty claimed to have British government support for plots against Ahmadinejad. Gould worked at the British Embassy in Washington; the Fox-Werritty Atlantic Bridge fake charity was active in building links between British and American neo-conservatives and particularly ultra-zionists. Gould’s responsibilities at the Embassy included co-ordination on US policy towards Iran. The first meeting of all three, which the FCO refuses to date, probably stems from this period.

According to my source, there is a long history of contact between Gould and Werritty. The FCO refuse to give any information on Gould-Werritty meetings or communications except those meetings where Fox was present – and those have only been admitted gradually, one by one. We may not have them all even yet.

My source says that co-ordinating with Israel and the US on diplomatic preparation for an attack on Iran was the subject of all these meetings. That absolutely fits with the jobs Gould held at the relevant times. The FCO refuses to say what was discussed. My source says that, most crucially, Iran was discussed at the Tel Aviv dinner, and the others present represented Mossad. The FCO again refuses to say who was present or what was discussed.

On Wednesday 2 November it was revealed in the press that under Fox the MOD had prepared secret and detailed contingency plans for British participation in an attack on Iran.

There are very important questions here. Was Gould really discussing neo-con plans for attacking Iran with Werritty and eventually with Fox before the Conservatives were even in government? Why did O’Donnell’s report so carefully mislead on the Fox-Gould-Werritty axis? How far was the FCO aware of MOD preparations for attacking Iran? Is there a neo-con cell of senior ministers and officials, co-ordinating with Israel and the United States, and keeping their designs hidden from the Conservative’s coalition partners?

The government could clear up these matters if it answered some of the questions it refuses to answer, even when asked formally by a member of parliament. The media have largely moved on from the Fox-Werritty affair, but have barely skimmed the surface of the key questions it raises. They relate to secrecy, democratic accountabilty and preparations to launch a war, preparations which bypass the safeguards of good government. The refusal to give straight answers to simple questions by a member of perliament strikes at the very root of our democracy.

Is this not precisely the situation we were in with Blair and Iraq? Have no lessons been learnt? There is a further question which arises. Ever since the creation of the state of Israel, the UK had a policy of not appointing a jewish Briton as Ambassador, for fear of conflict of interest. As a similar policy of not appointing a catholic Ambassador to the Vatican. New Labour overturned both longstanding policies as discriminatory. Matthew Gould is therefore the first jewish British Ambassador to Israel.

Matthew Gould does not see his race or religion as irrelevant. He has chosen to give numerous interviews to both British and Israeli media on the subject of being a jewish ambassador, and has been at pains to be photographed by the Israeli media participating in jewish religious festivals. Israeli newspaper Haaretz described him as “Not just an ambassador who is jewish, but a jewish ambassador”. That rather peculiar phrase appears directly to indicate that the potential conflict of interest for a British ambassador in Israel has indeed arisen.

It is thus most unfortunate that it is Gould who is the only British Ambassador to have met Fox and Werritty together, who met them six times, and who now stands suspected of long term participation with them in a scheme to forward war with Iran, in cooperation with Israel. This makes it even more imperative that the FCO answers now the numerous outstanding questions about the Gould/Werritty relationship and the purpose of all those meetings with Fox.

There is no doubt that the O’Donnell report’s deceitful non-reporting of so many Fox-Gould-Werritty meetings, the FCO’s blunt refusal to list Gould-Werritty, meetings and contacts without Fox, and the refusal to say who else was present at any of these occasions, amounts to irrefutable evidence that something very important is being hidden right at the heart of government. I have no doubt that my informant is telling the truth, and the secret is the plan to attack Iran. It fits all the above facts. What else does?

I write regularly for the mainstream media and this is the first article of mine I have ever been unable to publish. People have risked a huge amount by leaking me information in an effort to stop the government machinery from ramping up a war with Iran. There are many good people in government who do not want to see another Iraq. Please do all you can to publish and redistribute this information.

UPDATE A commenter has already pointed me to this bit of invaluable evidence:

“My government absolutely agrees with your conception of the Iranian threat and the importance of your determination to battle it.” Dealing with the Iranian threat will be a large part of my work here.” Gould said.

From Israel National News. It also says that he will be trying to promote a positive atmosphere between Israel and the Palestinian National Authority, but the shallowest or the deepest search shows the same picture; an entirely biased indeed fanatical zionist who must give no confidence at all to the Palestinian Authority. He must be recalled.

Exactly what relevance does that have to this thread. Better still why not say what the 'lie' is that you attribute to the above post in your pathetic little neg rep.

Twat, those with functioning brains comprehend the relevance. You opt out, twat.

and yet you, who profess to such grandiose intelligence are incapable of stating what it was because like 99.999999999% of your posts there is none. You do the only thing you are capable of writing insults and wasting forum bandwidth.

Must your lack of self esteem be so transparent?

The Anglo-Israeli Plot to Attack Iran

With reference to the above someone has at last had the courage to question this

Mr Flynn's initial comments came during an inquiry last Wednesday by the Public Administration Select Committee into the role of the head of the civil service. The present incumbent of the post, Sir Gus O'Donnell, was being questioned about his investigation into Adam Werritty, the controversial adviser to former Defence Secretary Liam Fox.

Mr Flynn asked about meetings between Mr Werritty and Mr Gould. Mr Gould previously served as a diplomat in Iran and some reports have speculated that he, Mr Werritty and Dr Fox discussed a potential military strike on Iran with Mossad.

"I do not normally fall for conspiracy theories, but the ambassador has proclaimed himself to be a Zionist and he has previously served in Iran, in the service," said Mr Flynn.

He said doubts had been raised about Mr Gould's loyalty by two of his constituents, Pippa Bartolotti and Joyce Giblin, who had been held in prison in Israel after taking part in the "flytilla" demonstration against the Gaza blockade in July.

"When they were briefly imprisoned in Israel, they met the ambassador, and they strongly believe… that he was serving the interest of the Israeli government, and not the interests of two British citizens," he told the committee.

Ms Bartolotti is the deputy leader of the Green Party in Wales and stood against Mr Flynn at the last election.

Mr Flynn's fellow committee member, Robert Halfon, MP for Harlow, objected to the comments: "Mr Flynn is implying that the British ambassador to Israel is working for a foreign power, which is out of order."

Mr Flynn told the JC he was asking for transparency about the Werritty-Gould meetings because he was worried that "neo-cons and war-mongers" were fomenting war against Iran.

He said he stood by his comments to the committee, including his questions about Mr Gould's loyalty to the UK.

"In the past there hasn't been a Jewish ambassador to Israel and I think that is a good decision - to avoid the accusation that they have gone native."

Mr Flynn added that the same question of divided loyalty would apply to anyone with a "foreign" family background, including former Foreign Office Minister Denis MacShane, whose father was Polish.

"Imagine Denis MacShane as ambassador to Poland? Heaven forbid," Mr Flynn said.

But the MP insisted that he was a friend of Israel and had visited the country four times, including once with his family on holiday.

Jewish envoy not loyal to UK, says Labour MP | The Jewish Chronicle

Just because someone is Jewish is no reason why suspicious behaviour should not be looked into - albeit that it no doubt was in collusion with warmongering neo con's.

We need to get to the bottom of this and return to the situation where we do not employ a national of a country as our Ambassador there as quite obviously this can create a conflict of interest. He should be returned home immediately while investigations go on.
