"The Stimulus funds were extraordinarily beneficial to us, as we likely
would never have been able to justify the business case for an advanced
broadband buildout in these targeted communities without financial
assistance," said Greg Anderson, general manager at Bledsoe. "With
advanced broadband services delivered across either fiber or copper, our
Stimulus-targeted subscribers will enjoy expanded broadband-enabled
economic, educational, and social opportunities."

Everyday, more stories pop up about Obama's stimulus package. Some are hilarious, like the more than a hundred Republican congressmen attempting to take credit in their districts for stimulus projects and job fairs.

Do Republicans have any shame? Any at all?

Gotta remember buddy - to the liberals who pay no taxes themselves...the cost to taxpayers is irrelevant. If it cost the taxpayers collectively $1,000,000 to produce 5 full-time positions - this is a great success!!
Or if the only way a feel-good industry can survive is constant intravenous tax dollars...again...a great success!!

Everyday the stimulus is working! Just ask the 400,000 people that lost their job last week!

No - just ask the banking industry. In 2009 when the rest of the country was reeling in economic pain - salary increases for the nations largest banks were the highest on record.
The financial sector had the largest growth rate - also in recorded history. In 2009 the markets had the best year since the inception of the NY stock exchange began.

THIS - is where the stimulus money went.

And today the jackels and the wolves are elated because their handyman just made veiled promises to give them more.

The astounding ignorance and stupidity of liberals who foolishly proclaim the stimulus was a great deed are like moths around a campfire.

Much of the stimulus was tax cuts so people could spend their own money, and much of it was tax increases so liberals could spend tax payers money. Its a perfect liberal contradiction.

In reality, all government induced stimulus does is distort the economy with a bubble that does more harm than good as the bubble bursts when the stimulus stops.

Do you REALLY want to embarrass yourself further with these silly strings? You know what happens whenever anyone delves a little deeper into the Obama "success" stories from the stimulus...either the company has since gone out of business (like that solar panel company that Obama used as a backdrop of one of his speeches last year on how well his stimulus was working) or each job created cost some crazy amount of money. You continue to shoot yourself in the foot each time you visit 'Think Progress' and get your liberal talking point for the day.

(Administration's jack booted eco terrorists raid guitar manufacturer, add another endangered species to the list. US Manufacturers. That and an additional 600 new regulations every month.)

"Federal agents swooped in on Gibson Guitar Wednesday, raiding factories and offices in Memphis and Nashville, seizing several pallets of wood, electronic files and guitars. The Feds are keeping mum, but in a statement yesterday Gibson’s chairman and CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, defended his company’s manufacturing policies, accusing the Justice Department of bullying the company. “The wood the government seized Wednesday is from a Forest Stewardship Council certified supplier,” he said, suggesting the Feds are using the aggressive enforcement of overly broad laws to make the company cry uncle.

It isn’t the first time that agents of the Fish and Wildlife Service have come knocking at the storied maker of such iconic instruments as the Les Paul electric guitar, the J-160E acoustic-electric John Lennon played, and essential jazz-boxes such as Charlie Christian’s ES-150. In 2009 the Feds seized several guitars and pallets of wood from a Gibson factory, and both sides have been wrangling over the goods in a case with the delightful name “United States of America v. Ebony Wood in Various Forms.”

The question in the first raid seemed to be whether Gibson had been buying illegally harvested hardwoods from protected forests, such as the Madagascar ebony that makes for such lovely fretboards. And if Gibson did knowingly import illegally harvested ebony from Madagascar, that wouldn’t be a negligible offense. Peter Lowry, ebony and rosewood expert at the Missouri Botanical Garden, calls the Madagascar wood trade the “equivalent of Africa’s blood diamonds.” But with the new raid, the government seems to be questioning whether some wood sourced from India met every regulatory jot and tittle."

Sounds like they're intent on killing a dozen for every one that they save or create. Do we have an American manufacturer of hip waders? If we do, he's gotta be doing a land office business. Well, maybe thats the wrong comparison, seeing as how BAC is bulldozing foreclosed houses and turning the titles over to the cities rather than maintain and attempt to sell them.

Actually liberals both earn more money, and have higher levels of education than conservatives. Link.
