As I understand it, the Islamic religion does NOT require pray 5 times a day if school or work conflict. One is relieved of the duty for those reasons.

Sounds to me like the company made arrangements to allow these religious zealots time to pray anyway and they are violating the rules.

Religious ignoramuses never seize to amaze me with their line of reasoning: While God appreciates devotion to Him, God has always been orderly. The Old Testament (shared by all three Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam) reminds the godly that there is a time for everything - Ecclesiastes chapter 3).
