Funny how some people are so easily persuaded by bullshit, particularly from Yahoo News of all places, which provides no sources to any of their claims.

Medicare premiums have remained flat, in general. Some people's have gone up, but over the last 2 years, pretty flat. Same with healthcare premiums overall. They were going up between 15 and 20% a year for about 10 or 15 years there but over the last 2 years they've gone up 4%. Temporary JOBS are just that. This was tried during the Great Depression with all of the government work projects. Historical data shows once the work was done--so were the JOBS. So you had employment gains--and then unemployment gains--like a roller coaster for 10 long years.

In reality the only thing that brought us out of the Great Depression was unfortunately WW2. Everyone either went to war--and the women went to work in the factories.

The difference between Roosevelt and Obama during the same type economic crisis? FDR actually CUT Washington (agency) government spending by 100 million dollars which was HUGE back then. Obama is trying to borrow and spend his way out of this.

YOU CAN'T BORROW AND SPEND YOUR WAY TO PROSPERITY. It is the private sector that is the job creator in this country, not the government. And just like in the 30's when you have an anti--business atmosphere being projected from an administration--business in this country tucks in like a turtle waiting for a threat to leave.

That pipeline is not an end in itself.. It's purpose is to bring Canadian oil to refineries.
It will add capacity. Create products and jobs in perpetuity -- or until we go to war with Canada.
