Not one of his statements was true.

And the only thing they could get on the republican response was "gee some of those people retired"

That Yahoo article is kind of stupid. Anyone on the internet can make a claim, but if you can't source it, than why the hell should anyone believe it?

Funny how some people are so easily persuaded by bullshit, particularly from Yahoo News of all places, which provides no sources to any of their claims.

Medicare premiums have remained flat, in general. Some people's have gone up, but over the last 2 years, pretty flat. Same with healthcare premiums overall. They were going up between 15 and 20% a year for about 10 or 15 years there but over the last 2 years they've gone up 4%. Not bad. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-08-20/employer-health-premiums-slow-for-second-straight-year.html

thousands of jobs could have been created, if it weren't for his evil nature

How would temporary jobs fix things exactly?

You would prefer NO jobs?

:cuckoo:

And what, pray tell, would you consider a permanent job?

In the Steel Industry? Whoops, they be moved to China. And Japan.

How about the electronics industry? Nope, gone to Korea.

Maybe a permanent Job at Delphi? Yeah, that sounds good.

I smell ya... As sad as it is, I still can't help but giggle when I see how Fox News and other RW media outlets create RW idiots.
For instance, a conservative friend posted this ficticious story about RFID chips being mandatory in Wyoming.

The responses were hilarious.... they may have well just responded: "Hey, look at me! I'm a dumbass!"

Here was the real scoop.

Temporary JOBS are just that. This was tried during the Great Depression with all of the government work projects. Historical data shows once the work was done--so were the JOBS. So you had employment gains--and then unemployment gains--like a roller coaster for 10 long years.

In reality the only thing that brought us out of the Great Depression was unfortunately WW2. Everyone either went to war--and the women went to work in the factories.

The difference between Roosevelt and Obama during the same type economic crisis? FDR actually CUT Washington (agency) government spending by 100 million dollars which was HUGE back then. Obama is trying to borrow and spend his way out of this.

YOU CAN'T BORROW AND SPEND YOUR WAY TO PROSPERITY. It is the private sector that is the job creator in this country, not the government. And just like in the 30's when you have an anti--business atmosphere being projected from an administration--business in this country tucks in like a turtle waiting for a threat to leave.

That pipeline is not an end in itself.. It's purpose is to bring Canadian oil to refineries.
It will add capacity. Create products and jobs in perpetuity -- or until we go to war with Canada.

Besides if you dont like temporary jobs -- you must have REALLY hated all those "stimulus" projects. And
go livid over jobless benefits..

It is if you don't have one, moron.

If you can go to work for a couple years and drag down $75k a year, that ain't exactly peanuts. It could very possibly keep your family afloat instead of the Bank foreclosing on your home.

You people are a surgeon's dream. You only have two moving parts.... Your mouth and your asshole. And they're interchangeable.

NY 26th FINALLY DEM!
Still waiting for a lie...Obama didn't stop the pipeline, the Nebraska governor did, and the EPA is now, thank God- it will be done intelligently. How 'bout an infrastructure act for jobs that would WORK, not propaganda bills that cut environmental and worker protection and wouldn't work...
