More evidence that more gun laws are not what is needed in the US

I gave you a list of the cities with the highest murder rates and all except a few were controlled by democrats and their policies…….you name two states that are known cartel access coridors where the democrat party, in control of our border, refuses to stop illegal entry into the country and where they are shipping illegal aliens……you are an idiot….where it is known that the cartels are running wild because of the democrats not securing the border……you dope.

The cartels aren't invading Texas and shooting up the whole state, lol. And the white house has barely changed a border policy from when Trump was president. Are you going to blame cartels for out of control gun violence in red states like Alabama, Kentucky, Arkansas, South Carolina, Louisiana, Arizona, etc, etc. So many red states have a ton of gun crime, none of which have anything to do with your foolish claim of drug cartels, lmao. Your brain melted away after having to remember so many right wing propaganda scripts so you can repeat them over and over again.

Hey....dipshit......

Houston, Texas, vs. Chicago, Illinois...

Texas.....gun stores on every corner, open and concealed carry....and a border with the Narco state of Mexico....

2021 murder number....

473 in a population of 2.288 million

Chicago......the most extreme gun control, no gun stores or gun ranges allowed in city limits, does not have a border with the narco state of Mexico...

2021 murder number.....

797 in a population of 2.697 million....

You have no argument, you have no point, you doofus....

I love how you're making it a big deal that Texas is only ranked 27th in gun violence and Illinois is 21st. That's when you know you've lost the argument. They're both abject failures, just like your theory that more guns is the great equalizer. It doesn't matter who is the mayor or governor is or who's party they belong to. When you both have the same impotent gun policies on the books the results will come back the same. Again, thank you again for making that list in order to make my argument for me. The GOP and NRA need more obedient followers like yourself, who are so stupid they'll believe anything.

Citizens in those states can buy all the guns they want, and what's the end result of these loose gun laws? Has crime been deterred? Has gun violence been deterred? Nope. If anything the opposite has happened.
You cannot demonstrate the necessary relationship between"loose" gun laws and higer rates of gun-related crime.

What do you mean they barely changed the policy from Trump....? Are you this stupid in real life or just when you post?

Those Red States, you doofus....have democrats in charge of their large cities...you were shown in the other post...

The No. 1 state on Third Way’s list is Mississippi. Sure enough, the statewide vote in the 2020 election was for Trump. But within the state, Hinds County residents voted for Joe Biden, 3 to 1. Mississippi’s biggest city, Jackson, is in Hinds County. You know where this is going.

Reporting on Jackson last year, CNN declared it “one of the deadliest U.S. cities.”

The mayor of Jackson is Chokwe Antar Lumumba, a Democrat. The district attorney is Jody Owens, a Democrat.
No. 2 on the list is Louisiana. Trump won that state, too. But on the more local level, he lost Orleans, the parish that contains New Orleans, the state’s most populous city. Residents there went for Biden almost 8 to 1.

“New Orleans had the highest homicide rate of any major city so far this year, with about 41 homicides per 100,000 residents.”— The Wall Street Journal, Sep. 16, 2022

The mayor of New Orleans is LaToya Cantrell, a Democrat. The district attorney is Jason Williams, also a Democrat.
No. 3 on the list is Kentucky, another red state that voted to elect Trump. But Kentucky’s biggest city Louisville is in Jefferson County and 60 percent of those voters supported Biden.

This is from Kentucky-based think tank Pegasus Institute in August: “In the last decade, the city of Louisville has seen unprecedented increases in shootings and homicides. 2020 became Louisville’s deadliest year on record, and 2021 have proven to continue that trend.” The organization reported last year that Louisville’s homicide rate was competing with the likes of Chicago and Philadelphia.

The mayor of Louisville is Greg Fischer, a Democrat. The district attorney is Thomas B. Wine. He is also a Democrat.

Next is Alabama at No. 4, another 2020 red state. But Biden won the most votes in the most populous county, also called Jefferson. He won 56 percent to Trump’s 43. Within Jefferson is the city of Birmingham, which has the third-highest murder ratein all of the U.S.

The mayor of Birmingham is Randall Woodfin. He’s a Democrat, just like the district attorney, Danny Carr.
In slot No. 5 is Missouri. Again, a Trump state. And again, with the county containing its biggest city, St. Louis, going for Biden, 61 percent to Trump’s 37. St. Louis has the fourth-highest murder rate in the country.

Mayor: Tishaura Jones, Democrat.

County prosecuting attorney: Wesley Bell, same.

No. 6 is South Carolina. Trump won that state, but Charleston County, with the city of North Charleston, went for Biden with 56 percent of the vote. North Charleston has the highest murder rate in the state.

Finally, here we have a city with a mayor, Keith Summey, from the Republican Party. The county solicitor — Charleston does not have a district attorney — is Scarlett Wilson, also a Republican.

Not that we’re keeping score, but that brings the number on this list of Republicans who might feasibly be held accountable for raging crime in their cities to a grand total of two. For Democrats, it’s so far 10.

The next two states on Third Way’s report, New Mexico and Georgia, went blue in 2020, so we’ll skip those.

No. 9 is Arkansas, which was red. But again, Pulaski County, with the state’s biggest city of Little Rock, went blue with 60 percent of voters choosing Biden. That city reportedly has one of the highest violent crime rates in the state. The mayor of Little Rock is Frank Scott, a Democrat. The county prosecutor, Larry Jegley, is a Democrat as well.

Lastly, at No. 10, is Tennessee. Another red state with a major blue county that went for Biden. That county here would be Shelby, with 64 percent of the vote going to the president. In Shelby is the city of Memphis, which, according to The New York Times, “is often ranked among the nation’s most violent cities.”

The mayor of Memphis is Jim Strickland, a Democrat. Steve Mulroy, a Democrat, is the recently-elected district attorney.
To recap, of the eight red states listed in Third Way’s report as being among the top 10 with the highest murder rate, the cities where all that murder is happening are run almost exclusively by Democrats. All but one had a Democrat mayor. And all but one had a Democrat responsible for pursuing criminal prosecutions.

No....moron....I showed you two different cities, about the same population size.

Houston is in a state on the border with the Narco state of Mexico. Houston allows open and concealed carry, easily. They have gun ranges, and gun stores all over the place.

Chicago has extreme gun control. No gun stores, no gun ranges allowed in the city limits.

And Chicago has almost twice the murders as Houston.....so, you dumb ass....access to guns isn't driving that crime...the criminals in Houston don't have to drive to Indiana to get their illegal guns.....so that isn't an excuse for Chicago.........

Guns do not increase the crime rate....as my other links have shown.

The democrat party policies of destroying local police, and releasing violent gun criminals over and over again increases the gun crime and gun murder rates......you can't defend or explain it.

And again....

You have to explain this....

Europe took guns away from their people, then in 6 years the governments of Europe murdered 15 million innocent men, women and children…..

6 years….15 million murdered.

In 246 years of gun murder in the U.S.?

2,460,000. And the victims are majority criminals, not innocent people.

It's not my fault you hate freedom. The US is supposed to have freedom as its highest value and you just shit on it.

How many times has everyone heard the old talking point, if you ban all guns then only the criminals will have them? Explain to me right now, why criminals aren't rampaging across all of Europe with all the guns only they can get? Why is it not happening in Asia? Why is it not happening in Australia? Where are all the massive casualties from shoot outs? Where are all the armed robberies, mass shootings and violence? Where are the besieged police forces fearing for their lives because they're not allowed guns but all the criminals have them? Cognitive dissonance keeps you from answering these questions in an honest manner, but if you did, you'd realize nothing like that actually exists.

Chicago doesn't have "extreme" gun control. Their gun laws are better than others, but it's not "extreme." I already explained this. They border Indiana and other states who have very loose gun laws. Approximately 60% of Chicago's illegal guns are actually from Indiana. Anyone can get in their car or buy a bus ticket to a neighboring state and buy a gun there from a private seller, no questions asked. New York has good control, but they're bordered by states that also have gun control laws in place as well, like NJ, PHI, CT. This is why gun violence in ny is only ranked 48th, and shock, they're run by democrats, dun, dun, dun...... Being ranked 48th is not the best, but this is an example of how gun control works when you make it hard for guns to be bought and then resold on the open market to just about anyone. You can't just walk outside your door and buy a gun.

No, that's your wacky claim, you explain it. So far you've refused when I asked you.

They are, you dope.......the preferred weapon of European criminals is the fully automatic military rifle...you dope.....

And Japan stopped their criminals by doing what we keep telling you that we have to do....if a criminal is caught with an illegal gun they go to prison for 15 years....they are not given bail....they do not have the gun charge dropped .........if they fire the gun in the commission of a crime, they go to prison for life....

Notice the difference between Japan and here? You doofus.

Australia has their criminals too...and they have guns.....

What you fail to realize is that the criminals in Europe and Australia do not commit murder with the guns they have....you dope....

Gun city: Young, dumb and armed

The notion that a military-grade weapon could be in the hands of local criminals is shocking, but police have already seized at least five machine guns and assault rifles in the past 18 months. The AK-47 was not among them.

Only a fortnight ago, law enforcement authorities announced they were hunting another seven assault rifles recently smuggled into the country. Weapons from the shipment have been used in armed robberies and drive-by shootings.
These are just a handful of the thousands of illicit guns fuelling a wave of violent crime in the world’s most liveable city.
----

Despite Australia’s strict gun control regime, criminals are now better armed than at any time since then-Prime Minister John Howard introduced a nationwide firearm buyback scheme in response to the 1996 Port Arthur massacre.
Shootings have become almost a weekly occurrence, with more than 125 people, mostly young men, wounded in the past five year
-----------
While the body count was higher during Melbourne’s ‘Underbelly War’ (1999-2005), more people have been seriously maimed in the recent spate of shootings and reprisals.

Crimes associated with firearm possession have also more than doubled, driven by the easy availability of handguns, semi-automatic rifles, shotguns and, increasingly, machine guns, that are smuggled into the country or stolen from licensed owners.
-------------
These weapons have been used in dozens of recent drive-by shootings of homes and businesses, as well as targeted and random attacks in parks, shopping centres and roads.
“They’re young, dumb and armed,” said one former underworld associate, who survived a shooting attempt in the western suburbs several years ago.
“It used to be that if you were involved in something bad you might have to worry about [being shot]. Now people get shot over nothing - unprovoked.”
------------

t's a portrait of the average Australian who operates in the country's illegal firearms market, built from the findings of a 2022 Deakin University study.
In the study, criminology professor David Bright and his colleagues conducted 75 interviews with prisoners across 16 correctional facilities comprising drug traffickers, members of organised crime gangs and armed robbers.
The researchers were attempting to build a picture of the illegal gun trade in the Australian underworld.
They found buying an illegal gun in Australia could be as easy as a trip to the supermarket for those in the know.
Figures show a deep reservoir of illegal firearms exists for criminals to tap into, with police measures only able to recover tiny fractions each year.
----
Professor Bright said most of the interviewees came from backgrounds where criminal behaviour and access to guns were the norm.
----
"Some of the stories were shocking, I suppose, in the sense of the violence that some of these men had either experienced or had engaged in using guns," Professor Bright said.
"The other surprising thing was just how easily some of these men were able to access firearms."
---

The source of illegal firearms

The Deakin University study identified the main ways illegal firearms were procured in Australia.
Very few criminals interviewed spoke of obtaining weapons through the internet or "dark web", with them instead preferring to rely on personal connections.
Guns are commonly obtained from friends and family, as well as from deals where a trusted party has vouched for the potential buyer.
One prisoner was given guns on the condition that he attacked certain people to earn them.
"I had to do two things to get the guns, but that was simple so I didn't really have to do much," they said.
"I just had to shoot at people … I didn't care … I was getting free guns out of it."
---
Police use firearms prohibition orders (FPOs) to ban people they believe are linked to organised crime from coming into contact with guns.
---
In 2019 — the year after FPOs were introduced — Victoria recorded a nine-year high in firearm assault deaths.
---
The latest figures from the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) estimate there are at least 260,000 illegal firearms circulating in Australia.
In its report, it states the number of illegal firearms could be as high as 600,000 if estimation methods from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime were used.
---
It means the seizures represent just a fraction of a percentage of Australia's illegal firearms market. And for those convicted of serious gun-related crimes in SA and NSW, not much has changed.
The insular nature of the illegal firearms market has led to increased caution among criminals when trafficking and carrying firearms, but the ease of access remains the same.
"Honestly, the access is pretty easy. I could get access to a gun within an hour of walking out of jail … no problem at all," one prisoner said in the Deakin report.

Gun violence grips Victoria as deadly shootings double

More than 14 hardened criminals are being found in possession of firearms each week as the state grapples with a rising gun culture that has led to twice as many Victorians shot dead in 2019.

Anti-gangs division Detective Superintendent Peter Brigham said illegal firearms were routinely unearthed at the homes of drug traffickers and in the possession of “gangster types” chasing image and status.

Gun crime soars
In this series, Fairfax Media looks at Melbourne’s gun problem and the new breed of criminals behind the escalating violence.

The investigation has found:

  • There have been at least 99 shootings in the past 20 months - more than one incident a week since January 2015
  • Known criminals were caught with firearms 755 times last year, compared to 143 times in 2011
  • The epicentre of the problem is a triangle between Coolaroo, Campbellfield and Glenroy in the north-west, with Cranbourne, Narre Warren and Dandenong in the south-east close behind
  • Criminals are using gunshot wounds to the arms and legs as warnings to pay debts
  • Assault rifles and handguns are being smuggled into Australia via shipments of electronics and metal parts
In response to the violence, it can be revealed the state government is planning to introduce new criminal offences for drive-by shootings, manufacturing of firearms with new technologies such as 3D printers, and more police powers to keep weapons out of the hands of known criminals.

'Thousands' of illegal guns tipped to be handed over in firearms amnesty

Asked roughly how many he expected to be handed in, Mr Keenan said: "Look I certainly think the number will be in the thousands."

The Australian Crime Commission estimated in 2012 there were at least 250,000 illegal guns in Australia. But a Senate report noted last year it was impossible to estimate how many illicit weapons are out there.

And despite Australia's strict border controls, the smuggling of high-powered military-style firearms is also a growing problem.

How many times has everyone heard the old talking point, if you ban all guns then only the criminals will have them? Police struggle to stop flood of firearms into UK

Police and border officials are struggling to stop a rising supply of illegal firearms being smuggled into Britain, a senior police chief has warned.

Chief constable Andy Cooke, the national police lead for serious and organised crime, said law enforcement had seen an increased supply of guns over the past year, and feared that it would continue in 2019

The Guardian has learned that the situation is so serious that the National Crime Agency has taken the rare step of using its legal powers to direct every single police force to step up the fight against illegal guns.

The NCA has used tasking powers to direct greater intelligence about firearms to be gathered by all 43 forces in England and Wales.

Another senior law enforcement official said that “new and clean” weapons were now being used in the majority of shootings, as opposed to guns once being so difficult to obtain that they would be “rented out” to be used in multiple crimes.

Cooke, the Merseyside chief constable, told the Guardian: “We in law enforcement expect the rise in new firearms to continue. We are doing all we can. We are not in a position to stop it anytime soon.
“Law enforcement is more joined up now than before, but the scale of the problem is such that despite a number of excellent firearms seizures, I expect the rise in supply to be a continuing issue.”

The increasing supply of guns belies problems with UK border security and innovations by organised crime gangs. Smugglers have increasingly found new ways and innovative routes to get guns past border defences.

Cooke said that the dynamics of the streets of British cities had changed and that criminals were more willing to use guns: “If they bring them in people will buy them. It’s a kudos thing for organised criminals.”

Simon Brough, head of firearms at the NCA, said: “The majority of guns being used are new, clean firearms ... which indicates a relatively fluid supply.”

He said shotguns were 40% of the total, with an increase in burglaries to try and steal them.
Handguns are the next biggest category, most often smuggled in from overseas, with ferry ports such as Dover being a popular entry point into the UK for organised crime groups:

“We’re doing a lot to fight back against it,” Brough said, adding that compared to other European countries, the availability in the UK was relatively lower.

France....

Paris attacks highlight France's gun control problems

The arsenal of weapons deployed by the eight attackers who terrorised Paris on Friday night underlined France’s gun control problems and raised the spectre of further attacks.

The country has extremely strict weapons laws, but Europe’s open borders and growing trade in illegal weapons means assault rifles are relatively easy to come by on the black market.

A police investigation is underway after two people were shot dead, and a third burnt alive on Saturday evening in the southern French city of Marseille. It's the fourth death linked to gun violence this week, a phenomenon which the Mayor Benoît Payan says is out of control.

"In Marseille, you can buy a Kalachnikov as easy as buying a pain au chocolat," he said.

"This has to stop, and the Interior Minister, who is aware of the problem, must make it a key objective."

Reports of 'heavy gunfire' on the streets of French city of Nimes | Daily Mail Online

Machine-gun shots have been heard on the streets of a French city this evening as it was claimed a 'shootout' took place between rival gangs.

Repeated 'heavy gunfire' bursts were let off in the city of Nimes in southern France after armed men were seen in the area.

Social media videos showed several people running through the street as shots rang out at around 8.30pm.

Initial reports suggested the shooting could have been linked to gangs operating in the area.

Residents in a suburb of Pissevin district in the city claimed gang members shot at a building occupied by a rival group.

Reports of gunfire in the district have been on the rise in recent months, according to local media

Sweden....

Crime gangs in Sweden: What's behind the rise in the use of explosives?

The frequent use of explosives is a relatively recent phenomenon, and criminologists told The Local that the blasts can be seen as part of an overall rise in violence and growing recklessness in these criminal networks.

Amir Rostami, a police superintendent turned sociologist with a focus on criminal gangs, told The Local that so-called 'street gangs' are showing an increased tendency towards violence, and that this violence was becoming more severe when it took place.
"If previously they maybe fired one shot or shot someone in the legs, today it's more about AK47s, using more bullets, hand grenades and explosions that we didn't see before. I'd say that's the biggest shift we see – they're more reckless, they don't seem to care about the consequences," Rostami said.

Fatal shootings linked to criminal gangs have increased from around four per year in the early 1990s to over 40 in 2018. And while the blasts that have taken place in Sweden have caused no fatalities so far this year, they could be seen as a sign that the gangs are unafraid of causing damage and potentially harming people.

No, Sweden, hand grenade attacks aren’t an ‘image’ problem

In 2018 there were 162 bombings reported to police, and 93 reported in the first five months of this year, 30 more than during the same period in 2018. The level of attacks is “extreme in a country that is not at war,” Crime Commissioner Gunnar Appelgren toldSVT last year.
-------
The use of hand grenades is a purely Swedish phenomenon too, with no other country in Europe reporting their use on such a level, a police manager told Swedish Radio in 2016, a year after attacks first spiked.

The grenades used almost exclusively originate in the former Yugoslavia, and are sold in Sweden for around $100 per piece. But while only three hand grenades were thrown in Kosovo between 2013 and 2014, more than 20 have been used in Sweden every year since 2015.

More broadly, homicide has risen in Sweden, with more than 300 shootings reported last year, causing 45 deaths. Though homicide rates had been in decline since 2002, they again began trending upwards in 2015, as did rapes and sexual assaults, which more than tripled in the last four years.

Of course, 2015 was also the year in which Sweden flung open its doors to more than 160,000 asylum seekers, more per capita than any other European country.

Moron....thank you for bringing up Indiana..........

Houston, Texas.......has gun stores on every corner, gun ranges all over the place, and the people can open and concealed carry guns....

Yet....with a population about the same as Chicago, they have lower gun murder numbers.......and Texas has a border with the Narco state of Mexico...

So....doofus...can you explain how it is that Houston has a lower gun murder rate than Chicago....when the criminals in Houston don't have to cross state lines to get illegal guns? They don't even have to go to Indiana to get their guns.......

And............why doesn't Indiana.....the magical source of Chicago crime guns........have a higher gun murder rate than Chicago...considering their criminals can stay home and don't have to leave the state?

Explain that, you clod.

And I gave you a 58 city list of democrat party controlled cities that have the highest murder rates....you twit.....and you pretend it doesn't exist....I showed you a list of counties in Red States that are blue, that cause all the homicide issues in those states....and you ignored it.....

You idiot.....

This brings me to my favorite part.

The gun-grabbers will argue: Guns are shipped into these cities from places without tough gun control laws!

Okay, then shouldn’t these places where all the guns supposedly originate from be even more violent?

FACT: Gun control is a total failure at stopping gun crime.

FACT: Gun control encourages violent crime and criminals.

This is how Japan treats their gun criminals....unlike our democrat party who will let 3 time convicted gun felons out on no cash bail, and out of prison with massively short sentences.....you idiot...

Japan’s gun control laws so strict the Yakuza turn to toy pistols

Ryo Fujiwara, long-time writer on yakuza affairs and author of the book, The Three Yamaguchi-Gumi, says that the punishment for using a gun in a gang war or in a crime is now so heavy that most yakuza avoid their use at all – unless it is for an assassination.

“In a hit, whoever fires the gun, or is made to take responsibility for firing the gun, has to pretty much be willing to go to jail for the rest of their life. That’s a big decision. The repercussions are big, too. No one wants to claim responsibility for such acts – the gang office might actually get shut-down.”

The gang typically also has to support the family of the hit-man while he is in prison, which is also a financial burden for the organization.

Japan’s Firearms and Swords Control Laws make it a crime to illegally possess a gun, with a punishment of jail time of up to 10 years.

Illegal possession more than one gun, the penalty goes up to 15 years in prison. If you own a gun and matching ammunition, that’s another charge and a heavier penalty. The most severe penalty is for the act of discharging a gun in a train, on a bus, or most public spaces, which can result in a life sentence.

-----

A low-ranking member of the Kobe-Yamaguchi-gumi put it this way: “All of the smart guys got rid of their guns a long-time ago. The penalties are way too high.

You get life in prison if you just fire a gun. That’s not fun.”

--A police officer in Osaka’s Organized Crime Control Division, speaking on background noted, “In the de facto world of law enforcement, when a yakuza fires a gun, we’re almost always going to charge them with attempted murder—which is a very heavy crime and serious time in ‘the pig-house’ (jail). Guns kill people, so if you use one, intent to kill is right there. Toy guns? Not so much.”

He added, “Unless you’re an old gangster and wanting to stay in jail until you die because you got nowhere else to go, you don’t use a gun. The crime isn’t worth the time in jail.”

Now......can you tell the difference in how the Japanese handle gun criminals and how democrats handle gun criminals........who actually shoot people....on video....?

Illinois prosecutors rejected charging five suspects in a deadly gang-related shootout that unfolded in Chicago, despite police reportedly seeking to charge all five suspects with murder and aggravated battery.

The shootout took place in the Austin community of Chicago Friday morning, and was reportedly sparked by an internal dispute between two factions of the Four Corner Hustlers gang, the Chicago Sun Times reported, citing an internal police report and a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation.

Five men were taken into custody over the shootout, which required a SWAT team response and led to police finding more than 70 shell casings. One shooter was left dead and two of the suspects wounded.

Now you explain to us how the Japanese handle gun crime vs. how the democrats handle gun crime............please use the above links...

Yeah.......this is why Chicago has gun crime.....Kim Foxx, democrat party states attorney will not prosecute gun criminals...

So because there are democrats in government in those states then they must be the cause for high crime? What about the republican mayors who are in charge who experience the same? :auiqs.jpg:

Yep.......... which party created the low cash/ no cash, bail policies? Which party has been attacking the local police across the country to the point they can't, or won't do their jobs and are creating an environment where police are retiring or quitting in mssive numbers?

Another way guns keep people safe.......

Restaurant and bar owners in Houston are sleeping in their establishments, armed, in order to protect them from robbers.

The restaurant owners have resorted to sleeping in their businesses in order to prevent a recent rash of break-ins that have taken place in recent weeks. The owners said that their businesses have been broken into repeatedly, sometimes by the same suspect. They placed the blame on Houston’s bail policies, which have resulted in more criminals out on the streets.

“We’ve been broken into six times now,” Tod Jones, the owner of Glitter, a karaoke bar in Midtown Houston, told local news outlet KHOU. “They’re coming in, grabbing as many bottles as they can, throwing it in a bag and then they’re out. Both my windows are broken, and I’m like, ‘Man, I don’t even want to fix them because they’re going to be broken again in the next few days.’”

Jones said that the thieves have caused more than $20,000 in damages and stolen alcohol. “At this point, you don’t even want to claim it on your insurance, because you don’t want to lose your insurance,” he said. “You just have to fix it yourself.” KHOU reported that Jones now sleeps at the bar from closing until morning to protect the property.
--------

Jacobo and a security guard caught a would-be thief and held him until police arrived. “Police got there, he had his bag with all his tools in it, ski mask,” he said. “Then, next thing I find out, he’s out the next day.”
“We are literally one street away from an [HPD] substation and we have a criminal that is breaking in twice in four days and doesn’t care about any consequence,” he added.

Notice this......

A 2021 investigation from ABC affiliate KTRK found that Houston’s bail policies have allowed more criminals back onto the streets. The outlet found that in 2011, just 3.5% of cases filed in Harris County court resulted in the defendant being released on felony bond; in 2021, the defendant was released in 18.8% of cases, nearly six times as often.

The most frequent charges for defendants who posted felony bond were: felon in possession of a weapon;.............or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The mayor of Houston is a democrat........

Does this help you understand that the problem is democrats....not gun owners?

^^^^
Ths is you trying to cover for the fact you cannot demonstrate the necessary relationship between "loose" gun laws and higher rates of gun-related crime.
Why is it not happening in Asia? Why is it not happening in Australia?
Dunno. Tell us. Prove your claim true.

Why does Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, etc, with their lose gun laws, not have the same issues with firearm violence that IL does?

You made that up.
.Anyone can get in their car or buy a bus ticket to a neighboring state and buy a gun there from a private seller, no questions asked.
And commit a federal felony in doing so.

You are obviosuly unaware of the gun control laws in NJ and CT.
They are at least as draconian as those in NY.

Switzerland hasn't had a mass shooting since 2001, when a man stormed the local parliament in Zug, killing 14 people and then himself.

The country has about 2 million privately owned guns in a nation of 8.3 million people. In 2016, the country had 47 attempted homicides with firearms. The country's overall murder rate is near zero.

The National Rifle Association often points to Switzerland to argue that more rules on gun ownership aren't necessary. In 2016, the NRA said on its blog that the European country had one of the lowest murder rates in the world while still having millions of privately owned guns and a few hunting weapons that don't even require a permit.

But the Swiss have some specific rules and regulations for gun use.

Insider took a look at the country's past with guns to see why it has lower rates of gun violence than the US, where after a mass shooting that killed 5 and injured 25 at an LGBTQ+ nightclub in Colorado, gun-death rates are now at their highest in more than 20 years, and the leading cause of death for children and adolescents.

Zurich's Knabenschiessen is a traditional annual festival that dates back to the 1600s.
Though the word roughly translates to "boys shooting" and the competition used to be only boys, teenage girls have been allowed in since 1991.
Kids in the country flock to the competition every September to compete in target shooting using Swiss army-service rifles. They're proud to show off how well they can shoot.
The competition values accuracy above all else, and officials crown a Schutzenkonig — a king or queen of marksmen — based on results.

The Swiss stance is one of "armed neutrality."

Switzerland hasn't taken part in any international armed conflict since 1815, but some Swiss soldiers help with peacekeeping missions around the world.

Many Swiss see gun ownership as part of a patriotic duty to protect their homeland.

Unlike the US, Switzerland has mandatory military service for men.
The government gives all men between the ages of 18 and 34 deemed "fit for service" a pistol or a rifle and training on how to use them.
After they've finished their service, the men can typically buy and keep their service weapons, but they have to get a permit for them.
In recent years, the Swiss government has voted to reduce the size of the country's armed forces.

Switzerland's borders are basically designed to blow up on command, with at least 3,000 demolition points on bridges, roads, rails, and tunnels around the landlocked European country.

John McPhee put it this way in his book "La Place de la Concorde Suisse":

"Near the German border of Switzerland, every railroad and highway tunnel has been prepared to pinch shut explosively. Nearby mountains have been made so porous that whole divisions can fit inside them."

In 2000, more than 25% of Swiss gun owners said they kept their weapon for military or police duty, while less than 5% of Americans said the same.

The Swiss government has estimated that about half of the privately owned guns in the country are former service rifles. But there are signs the Swiss gun-to-human ratio is dwindling.

In 2007, the Small Arms Survey found that Switzerland had the third-highest ratio of civilian firearms per 100 residents (46), outdone by only the US (89) and Yemen (55).

But it seems that figure has dropped over the past decade. The University of Sydney now estimates that there's about one civilian gun for every three Swiss people.

All fascinating stuff.

But the Swiss has not been overrun with leftists like the US has. As a result, it does not have a government at war with half or more of it's citizens. The Swiss seem to value the Patriarchal family, they are proud of their culture and history and not ashamed of it as they try to eradicate it at all costs. Drugs are not flowing across an uncontrolled border and destroying society, etc.

They also have some of the most stringent immigration laws in the world.

Switzerland is like a right wing utopia.

So why does the Left seem to leave them the hell alone? You guessed it, all the corrupt Leftists put their money there.
The OP is a rant, and an example of someone to write and shout at length in a wild, impassioned way.

Switzerland fire arm laws. They are strick.
Switzerland’s gun laws are rather strict, including three classes of weapons and ammunition with varying degrees of restrictions, mandatory background checks per-purchase, training, the banning of high-powered weapons, an ability to disarm citizens, bans of immigrants and criminals owning guns, and other general restrictions and regulations.
