While I understand both sides of the wage and price control argument, I don't understand wage control without some kind of price control. Businesses are just going to pass the cost to the customers. Hourly wage earners and people on fixed incomes who wont see a raise will have their buying power reduced. The folks in the middle are getting squeezed.

That's true. Gas prices are too high, raise the price of goods. Then when gas prices decrease, the profit margins increase and the consumers get the middle finger.

I never joined the union cause I refuse to pay someone to get a job, there are plenty out there for free. The Keystone XL is a pipeline they can easily build in Canada to ship their sludge crude to China.

But for now I say that the baseline definition of living wage is when you work, but dont need welfare while earning a paycheck.
