Meet Julie

"It was in those vetting calls that I found Julie," Wilson continued. "I called up, basically just to say 'are you an American?' She told me her story and it broke me."

Julie, who has allegedly been a U.S. citizen for at least 16 years, called into the cable news program to explain how she has been stranded in Afghanistan.

Perino asked Julie what the State Department told her to do in order to be evacuated from Afghanistan, to which she replied, "I am not doing anything. I'm just sitting on a hill."

"They broke me. The United States broke me, because I am U.S. citizen," the woman said, and then became choked up with emotions and began crying.

"And first … you know, I've been through a lot of — very bad in my life. I see, you know, I just come to get married here, to have life with my family and get back there," she said. "The Taliban come in and everything is changing, and make my life as, I basically, I died, but I still alive. I don't know."

Julie said Jen is her "best lifeline," and she couldn't rely on President Joe Biden's State Department.

"The State [Department], I call them so many times," Julie alleged. "I email them, they just take the phone, they say, 'I'm sorry, we can't do anything for you.' And that is the answer. And I said what's going on with you guys? I'm a U.S. citizen who [inaudible] United States. I just lose a lot of family."

Wilson revealed that Julie received a letter from the State Department telling her that they would be able to get evacuated out of Afghanistan through the airport in Kabul. Tragically, Julie is said to have lost 18 members of her family in the Aug. 26 suicide bombing at the Hamid Karzai International Airport that killed 13 U.S. service members and 169 Afghans.

Approximately 100 U.S. citizens who want to escape Afghanistan remain in the country as of two weeks ago, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said during congressional testimony last week.

Before the U.S. withdrawal deadline, Biden vowed to evacuate all American citizens out of Afghanistan. "We will get you home,"
Biden promised on Aug. 20.

Sounds tragic, but I got to wonder what her nationality was prior to 16 years ago, what would possess her to go to Afghanistan during a conflict to get married, it not exactly striking me as a honeymoon destination. She says she has had a bad life. One assumes she came her to make it better and would be far better off if she had stayed. My advice to anyone that gets out of a ghetto to live a better life is to stay out and not look back.
I read another story like this a few weeks ago of a woman of American citizenship from California that went there in June to get married and became stuck there, while her new Afghani husband actually flew out with the other evacuees, leaving her behind. I don't get the judgement of some people in their life choices and evaluative processes.

Shift the blame to the victim

I like it, but blaming Trump is preferable and better received I think than blaming an American citizen who is a woman.

Try again. Tell us how it's all Trump's fault.

Why didn't Julie leave when Trump signed his agreement with the Taliban in Feb 2020?

Why didn't Julie buy a plane ticket and leave Afghanistan last year?

Since when do Americans expect military operations to bail them out of situations the placed themselves in?

Why do people have sexual relations spreading diseases when they know what the result may be?

What does leaving a war zone have to do with sex? Is she not responsible for her decisions?

Why didn't Julie leave when Trump signed his agreement with the Taliban in Feb 2020?
Now see, that is the spirit! Blame the hated Orange man

Problem is, the deadline to pull out was May and they missed it as Biden chose an arbitrary date of 8/31 instead. He could have easily delayed it to keep his promise of pulling out more Americans

In addition, the agreement that Trump made was violated by the Taliban as they conducted military operations they promised not to. So the agreement was defunct and Trump would not have followed it.

Also know that when you are in power, you have to begin to take accountability for your actions. Leading is not about blaming other for your mistakes, but is necessary whey you have no leadership abilities, so I understand.

Trump had no conditions on his pull out. He released 5,000 Taliban prisoners and brought 10,500 troops home.

When expats leave like in 1956 and 1967, they move quickly and buy their own airline tickets.

Maybe she didn't want to pay for a plane ticket.
If I had to guess, leaving would have meant her non-American family would have had to stay behind.

Then at the last minute she was hoping they’d get more of them out on a military flight.

How many more service members would have been blow up because he “easily” delayed the date?

Obviously, the Neo-GOP believe in the Super Nanny State. Where the Government is responsible for the whereabouts of every citizen anywhere in the world, to be able to pluck them out of harms ways in a moments notice, even in war zone, where we basically had surrendered to the Taliban.

Or they pretend they did, while they take a gigantic dump all over our country, in front of the world.

Its just that when the money runs down men will not care. Thousands of gangs will proliferate. Regional tribalism will be the new mantra. It is happening now slowly. Prog women in power do nothing for gangs and worse but bring the law abiding to long term jail sentences for expressing their rights. Tell me what direction we are heading to. Shortest direction from two points.

Well, it never crossed my mind to visit a war zone where are our combat troops were getting special hazard pay for their work in the country. If you choose to go in harms way, you may come to harm. Go figure.

American civilians just make matters more difficult for US troops in any war zone..

“Julie” no-name is “allegedly” an American citizen … for 16 years. She’s “doing nothing,” jusy “sitting on a hill” while calling a cable news program in the U.S. She didn’t even go to the airport in Kabul, where she “is said to have lost 16 members of her family” in the suicide bombing that also is said to have killed 26 Taliban. This report is brought to you by … “The Blaze.”

Does she also have a baby in an incubator in a hospital, which Taliban rural Pushtans seized? I personally believe they threw those babies up against the wall, breaking their tiny heads, and then ate them…

Damn that beast Biden!
