More Americans Are Finally Seeing Something New A Pay Raise

Employers have added 3.2 million jobs over the 12 months — including 257,000 in January, 329,000 in December and a sizzling 423,000 in November.

Job listings on Indeed.com, for example, show stronger demand for truckers, health care professionals and technology workers, all of which points to higher wages, said Tara Sinclair, chief economist at Indeed.com and a professor at George Washington University.

Ford Motor Co. has announced that up to 500 of its lowest-paid factory workers will receive a 48 percent pay raise to $28.50 an hour. Only 20 percent of its employees can be in the lowest tier, so Ford had to raise wages to hire 1,550 workers to make pickup trucks in Missouri and Michigan. Other major companies, including Aetna and the Gap, have also announced pay increases.

Some smaller firms are enjoying a level of growth that has begun to deliver year-end bonuses and raises

If this keeps up, Republicans will only have foreign policy to run on the next election. And many of the world's problems were started by, get this, "Republicans". America hasn't forgotten.

I was going to reply but, true to form, you yet again take your jab at Republicans. You really are a disturbed puppy.
And a Brotch of the highest magnitude. :slap:
Yea, but isn't it true? Republicans are going to run on foreign policy. You can already see them gearing up for it. It will be very easy to point to nuclear weapons in North Korea, Isis from the disbanded Iraqi military, what they did to the world economy, and so on. All things that happened under Republicans. You aren't going to deny it are you?

why not run on the economy when unemployment is 11.3% ( 40% higher than before recession) and when income is down not up under Obama!!

American business has for years been making record profit and not sharing with the people that actually made the profit. How long is it going to be before one of the people that are being squeezed brings an gun to work and makes it even?

not sharing with the people that actually made the profit.

too stupid and liberal as always:
1) if they really made the profit they would have it and not need to steal it back
2) to make one dollar in profits you have to share 100 times that much in goods and services. Apple for example just sold 60 million Iphones. How's that for sharing

Here's the thing you lefties just don't ever seem to get: the new jobs and the increased demand for labor (which means higher wages) is not a function of gov't meddling, gov't fiat or gov't effort. IT'S THE ECONOMY, STUPID and all the huffing and puffing about the min wage means diddly-squat in the face of American market forces (supply and demand). A rising tide raises all ships and even those at the bottom of the pile benefit from the efforts and ingenuity of those at the top of the heap.

Its the average lower wage workers that make everything go in a company, not the overpaid laziest at the top.

Average lower wage workers do not cause the rising tide that raises all ships and those at the top don't get paid for what they do but rather for what they know.

1. Employees make ALL the money for a company.
2. WTF are you writing?

so killing Bill Gates would would make it even? This is an example of how stupid and treasonous a liberal really is.

Besides the really cool write-off (135%) why do you think Bill Gates spends MILLIONS in charitable contributions?

Sorry SAYIT, the government creates the need for employment. Employers hire, employees make employers ALL of their money.

too stupid does not know he needs a reason to say employees make employers all their money rather than employers make employees all their money!

The worker makes ALL of the money for the company. The employers creates the platform for the worker to accomplish that. Except in commission employment where an employee often times makes more than a salaried supervisor, the pyramid is upside down.

You haven't a clue as to what creates jobs or the demand for labor and without investors and innovators, there is no business. Employees collect paychecks from the efforts of others investments.
