If you read the article you would have learned that he SHUT DOWN the senate meetings up to the 20th for the specific reason for preventing the Senate Trial.

I read the article last night and yes he can suspend all meetings in senate but it can be taken up with the new senate.

If by chance he was impeached he would lose the right to run for office again and secret service lifetime protection not to mention his pension which he claims he doesn't need. I want him to lose his and family lifetime protection. I don't think he'll run again and if he does the repubs that have turned against him will not ever vote for him in 2024, they have had enough.

Joe Biden is not a leader, he is a follower. He will wait for the parade to start and then run like hell to get into the ront row to get his picture taken. He only gets committed when his party tells him to, and since the democrats are most often wrong then so is he.

They are going to learn first hand how to rule when you have the power. Dems are going to show them a thing or two.

There are an awful lot of people who believe the election was rigged, 40% to 50% in some polls. And he did get an awful lot of votes, so is that the way the democrats want to build unity?

And finally, what exactly are they intending to impeach Trump for? What did he actually say that incited the riot? Verbatim, lay it on me. You think that many democrats have not said as bad or worse? How many people showed up for that rally on Wednesday, and how many actually participated in storming the capitol? Trump wanted a lot of people to show up for the rally, but where's the evidence that he wanted a riot?

Here's the deal: Trump is finished. There's no way he ever gets elected again, no way in hell. So why not just hold your water for 11 more days? Are we as a nation going to be better off for all the effort to crucify a guy who is about to leave anyway? Or is this really all about trying to put the GOP senators on the spot to make them look bad? I tell ya, I am so fucking sick and tired of the politics.
