Mitch McConnell Betrays Trump; Will MAGA Fight Back??

I noticed that even you didn't dispute the fact that Trump was clueless when it came to selecting judges -
We do the best we can but it hasalways been a particular problem for republicans

Even eisenhower said the worst mistake he made as president was putting earl warren on the supreme court

"Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that the mob that attacked the Capitol was "provoked" by President Donald Trump. "The mob was fed lies,"
.

Indeed. McConnell did say what you posted.

Unfortunately, the biggest lie told, which shut down 76 million people who wanted nothing more than our Supreme Court to give a hearing to a list of grievances found in the Texas BILL OF COMPLAINT, a shutdown by the Court which understandably provoked 76 million American Citizens, has suspiciously been ignored by Mitch McConnell ___ the biggest lie told was the Supreme Court falsely asserting that Texas had not demonstrated a “judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections”.

The assertion that Texas had not demonstrated a “judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections”, when the charges set forth in the Texas brief and complaint summarize and detail both illegal and fraudulent election practices in not one, but in four States ___ practices which undeniably violate our federal Constitution and have corrupted the outcome of a federal election ___ most certainly do demonstrate a judicially cognizable interest, not only for the State of Texas, but for the entire United States and her citizens.

As succinctly stated by a noteworthy Justice of our Supreme Court eighty years ago, when acts of corruption infect a federal electoral process in one state “they transcend mere local concern and extend a contaminating influence into the national domain” _ __ Justice DOUGLAS in United States v. Classic (1941)".

When our federal judicial system ignores our written Constitution and assents to legislative acts contrary to our supreme law of the land, it not only opens the door to anarchy, but participates in such treachery.

"We'll have a safe and successful inaugural right here on the very front of the Capitol," said McConnell."

We will have a successful inaugural right here on the very front of the Capitol??

WTF?? Look at how Moscow Mitch is basically rubbing it in our faces that Biden will be sworn in and begin his term; was Mitch in a coma?? Wasn't he in the Senate when Ted Cruz and others in the GOP said Trump will have a second term and the election was stolen, blah blah blah.....Doesn't he know his very act of going on record and admitting to everyone that it was all bullshit -- doesn't he know that will make Trumpers have to twist themselves into even more pretzel shapes in order to justify the bullshit delusions they have been spouting for the past 4 or 5 years??

Doesn't he know admitting it was all bullshit will force Trumpers to have to reconcile with the fact that they were duped -- and how that just isn't fair?? Doesn't he know this will make it easier for those mean ole libs to mock them and make memes and stuff?? Something that Trumpers would have never engaged in because of their morals and utmost respect for others who disagree with them. Trumpers will be left with no choice but to launch a second civil war or stage another type of violent overthrow of government in order to not be proven wrong about stuff..
Good ol' Moscow Mitch just got re-elected and is good for 6 more years, by which time he will be 80 something and ready to retire. His need to kiss ass has ended.

All of the court challenge cases, except one, brought on behave of the former president were dismissed because of lack of merit.

The suit was an embarrassment to the Republicans of Texas.

Pa can't sue Tx over how it conducts it's election and challenges either.

All of the court challenge cases, except one, brought on behave of the former president were dismissed because of lack of merit.

Did the Supreme Court review the evidence, listen to sworn witnesses and take oral arguments, and then render a decision?

The suit was an embarrassment to the Republicans of Texas.

Wrong. It was an embarrassment and an act of malfeasance for the Supreme Court to spit in the Face of 76 million American Citizens, and 18 States, and not grant a hearing involving a list of grievances over which the Supreme Court, and only the Supreme Court has jurisdiction over.

Pa can't sue Tx over how it conducts it's election and challenges either.

Once again you are flat wrong. When a state ignores rules set forth in our federal Constitution with respect to a federal electoral process, you bet it is of national concern and States offended are more than entitled to sue in court for a redress of such grievances.

Texas’s theory would create standing for every state to challenge not just the votes for presidential electors in every other state, but also the elections for senator in every other state (since those also could result in changing the outcome of Senate votes decided by a one‐vote margin).

Also, as just noted, it would give states standing to challenge such elections before it became clear whether any of the challenged elections would affect the outcome of any future vote in the Senate. While not quite as expansive as the rejected doctrine of standing for every citizen to challenge unconstitutional acts, a new doctrine of “all‐50‐states standing” for every presidential and Senate election dispute would mean few practical limits on the number of election‐law disputes that could be brought before the courts.

It’s doubtful whether conservatives would appreciate such a doctrine quite so much if, for example, California brings a future challenge to Florida’s felon disenfranchisement rules or New York brings a challenge to Texas’s absentee ballot rules.

These people need to be brought back to reality.

It will still take a lot more, though. Talk radio needs to be honest with them.
Hard to sell people reverse mortgages and dick pills if you admit to them you have been lying to them the whole time.....

Best thing for them to do is continue with the new lost cause strategy and ride that denial for the next 150 years -- it worked for the Confederacy...
I hope Joe Biden and Kamala Harris get though on crime.

Wouldn't that take Congress??

You know, like in 1994?

I am not a conservative -- I don't care what other conservatives expect Trump was supposed to fight for....

I expect conservatives will do what they always do when their "candidates" get rejected.....claim he wasn't a true conservative and then offer more of the same...and get rejected again

Texas’s theory

We are not talking about theory. We are talking about specifics as stated above and you failing to refute them.

Our socialist/fascist revolutionaries, which now control the Democrat Party Leadership, are known for accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of.

Your theory was destroyed by the SC's decision. I'd wager that the opinions express by Cato's writer is more in line with the SCs opinion than not. But we'll never know. Texas had no new evidence to present.

Your theory was destroyed by the SC's decision.

The Supreme Court dodged the whole issue with the following ORDER IN PENDING CASE 155, ORIG. TEXAS V. PENNSYLVANIA, ET AL. "The State of Texas’s motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections.

Statement of Justice Alito, with whom Justice Thomas joins:

In my view, we do not have discretion to deny the filing of a bill of complaint in a case that falls within our original jurisdiction. See Arizona v. California, 589 U. S. ___ (Feb. 24, 2020) (Thomas, J., dissenting). I would therefore grant the motion to file the bill of complaint but would not grant other relief, and I express no view on any other issue."
