Minnoesta Governor and Repuglican Presidential hopeful Tim Pawlenty has been caught funneling funds from a "Support Our Troops" licence plate fund to support an appointee of his office.

Lee Buckley received funds from the "Support Our Troops" Licence Plate Funds. The money from those plates was supposed to have gone to support the families of service members.

Minnoesta Law Makers have ordred the funds returned.

Ah Yes, another Repug who loves being photographed supporting our troops, and decides to fuck our troops instead.

Cheering a Repug stealing from vet's and servicemen, typical. Who exactly gave money to ACORN (No crimes were committed by ACORN, but Pimp Boy was caught doing some very heavy editing. He might go to jail trying bug a U.S. Senator's Office as well). Who exactly gave money to the Panther's too?

You have no problem with a Repug Governor STEALING MONEY from a fund dedicated to supporting the Troops, bet you flag waving mother fucker too.

Nobodys saying that Dems are innocent of this kind of chicanery. However, for someone that has been considered for a Presidential nomination, and is a flag waver, this is a disappointment.

It's disappointing until you think about how corrupt these people have to be to get that far in a game as dirty as politics. In either party. To really be disappointed you had to expect better in the first place.

Pawlenty didn't have a shot anyway, he hurt his credibility with the center too badly getting up to his neck in the Coleman fiasco.

This is not the first Governor Pawlenty has been caught playing fast and loose with State Funds, but what is galing is that the money from this fund was supposed to go to benefit veteran's and their families.

Mr. Pawlenty was (very big WAS) being looked at by the Repugs for the '12 Presidential Cycle, and with this stupid stunt has more than likely killed any chance of even getting the number 2 spot, much less the Oval Office.

Pawlenty had been an early supporter of the war in Iraq, and how does he show his support the troops, by stealing their money.

Don't care about his political affiliation. I DO care about what he did...and hope there are legal consequences.

If this is true on the Gov then I hope they impeach him and put him in prison.
But will he pardon himself?

I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation...

Nope, can't think of even one that would be even remotely satisfactory. Wow, Tim Pawlenty... What an asshole.

From page 2 of the linked article....."Brian McClung, a spokesman for Pawlenty's office, said the Department of Veterans Affairs made the decision to use money from the plates to fund a portion of Buckley's salary."

Looks like the Department of Veterans Affairs, where the money was going, decided that they wanted the money to be spent exactly the way it was.

Go figure, more liberals cherry picking the information they want to use and ignoring the FACTS.

Quotes from the article linked.

"Michael Pugliese, deputy commissioner of the Department of Veterans Affairs......."

"It was definitely a good return on our investment, and I would do it again," said Pugliese, who dismissed the criticism as cynical politics."

Looks to me like it was the Department of Veterans Affairs' decision to use this money the way it was used and not Governor Pawlenty.

I guess no one wants to face the truth here, huh? Looks like people went off half cocked after reading 1/3 of the article and didn't read the whole thing. Surprise.
