Andy's always right on top of Dotard's stupidest statements. :)

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (The Borowitz Report)ā€”Millions of Americans were foiled in their attempts to purchase groceries on Wednesday after failing to provide the proper government-issued I.D. cards.

From coast to coast, food-seeking scofflaws were turned away from supermarkets, convenience stores, and fruit markets as they tried to circumvent the nationā€™s long-standing grocery I.D. laws.

ā€œGiven that Americans have been required to show I.D. to buy food for years, itā€™s amazing that people still try to get away with this,ā€ Carol Foyler, a supermarket cashier in Fresno, California, said. ā€œItā€™s always, ā€˜Oh, I left my food I.D. in my other pants,ā€™ or some B.S. like that. Believe me, Iā€™ve heard it all.ā€

In Cleveland, Ohio, a man attempting to buy a loaf of bread, two yogurts, and a bottle of Fanta tried to use another consumerā€™s food I.D. to make the purchase, but was busted by sharp-eyed security personnel.

ā€œItā€™s not just people using other peopleā€™s food I.D.s to get groceries,ā€ Harland Dorrinson, the storeā€™s security chief, said. ā€œI canā€™t tell you how many fake food I.D.s we see in here on a daily basis.ā€

Dorrinson said that, although the nationā€™s food-I.D. laws have served it well, they ā€œneed to go furtherā€ to prevent rampant abuses of the system.

ā€œRequiring people who want groceries to have a food I.D. is a good start, but there should also be background checks and a waiting period,ā€ he said.

Myth of Voter Fraud

It is important to protect the integrity of our elections. But we must be careful not to undermine free and fair access to the ballot in the name of preventing voter fraud.

The Brennan Centerā€™s ongoing examination of voter fraud claims reveal that voter fraud is very rare, voter impersonation is nearly non-existent, and much of the problems associated with alleged fraud in elections relates to unintentional mistakes by voters or election administrators. Our report "The Truth About Voter Fraud" reveals most allegations of fraud turn out to be baseless ā€” and that of the few allegations remaining, most reveal election irregularities and other forms of election misconduct. Click here for additional resources on fraud.

Voter fraud is not acceptable in our elections, but we must find a balance and not impose solutions that make it harder for millions of eligible Americans to participate in our democracy.

Myth of Voter Fraud

The president has continued to claim voter fraud was a problem in the 2016 election. :eusa_liar:

But a look at the facts makes clear fraud is vanishingly rare, and does not happen on a scale even close to that necessary to ā€œrigā€ an election.

Debunking the Voter Fraud Myth

Sensationalist claims have circulated this election season about the extent of voter fraud, with some politicians going so far as to tell voters to fear that this Novemberā€™s election will be ā€œrigged.ā€ Because electoral integrity is one of the elements necessary to making America the greatest democracy in the world, claims like this garner media attention, and frighten and concern voters. But putting rhetoric aside to look at the facts makes clear that fraud by voters at the polls is vanishingly rare, and does not happen on a scale even close to that necessary to ā€œrigā€ an election.

"DHS confirmed Russian hackers tried to break into state's online voter registration system last year but did not succeed. A spokesman for the office said its information technology department detected and blocked the attempted intrusion..."

Did the Russians target Democratic voters, with Kushnerā€™s help?

"Russiaā€™s efforts to hack the 2016 presidential election were much more widespread than originally thought. The Russian campaign hit 39 states ā€” twice as many as originally reported ā€” and in one case hackers tried to delete and alter voter data."

Wikileaks Told Trump Jr. To Tell His Dad To Not Concede If He Lost On Election Day

Wikileaks urged Donald Trump Jr. to tell his father to not concede if he lost on Election Day, according to a bombshell report from The Atlantic that alleges the president's eldest child and the so-called transparency organization secretly corresponded in private direct messages on Twitter during the U.S. presidential campaign.

The messages were turned over to Congress and copies were obtained by The Atlantic.

"Hi Don if your father ā€˜losesā€™ we think it is much more interesting if he DOES NOT conceed [sic] and spends time CHALLENGING the media and other types of rigging that occurredā€”as he has implied that he might do."

10 Months After Election Day, Feds Tell States More About Russian Hacking

Russians tried to hack election systems of 21 states in 2016, officials say

"The Department of Homeland Security said earlier this year that it had evidence of Russian activity in 21 states"

"The good news is that, for the most part, most of the things that we saw attempted in 2016 were just that, attempts,"

"There was nothing that impacted the voting tallies, as we said before, and for the most part, these attempts were not successful in any intrusions into systems."

If you look at the DNC 's picking of the people running in the past election it was rigged for Hilly to win the spot. Sanders was picked as a weak candidate but he turned the tables and took some of the States. He will be back.

NO, THAT IS A MYTH!

a myth rabidly and rapidly spread by naive bernie bros and perpetuated by the CRIMINAL anti-American troll farm.

hint: did you notice the way RNC initially PUBLICLY DENOUNCED CANDIDATE TRUMP?

yeah, that's par for the course and NOT a big scandal for political parties to have preferences and plans.

Hey, where'd Sunni's ignorant post go - deleted out of embarrassment? :)

I haven't been to a grocery store that required a photo ID on a check in 20 years. The exception MIGHT be if it's out of state. But don't think so even then except maybe for a Mom and Pop general store.

They scan it and it checks against a database of millions of bad checks written. Takes 5 seconds and most retailers back that system up with a check guarantee service.

Even then, only really old people write checks at grocery stores .. Don't you love it when they take 15 minutes to fill out a check while everyone behind them fumes?
