Military joint chiefs denounce Charlottesville racism

A group of military leaders broke with President Donald Trump and rebuked the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville over the weekend — a near-historic development for U.S. civil-military relations.

Since Sunday, five U.S. service chiefs — representing the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and National Guard — have tweeted their denunciation of the white nationalists
whose rally led to the killing of a counter-protester on Saturday. Two police officers covering the rally also died when their helicopter crashed.

The joint chiefs condemnation of racism and white supremacist groups is notable because it stands in stark contrast with Trump's statements that blamed both white-nationalist marchers and counter-protesters — even though it was a Nazi sympathizer who caused all of the casualties.

Trump loses support of the business community leadership, the military leadership, and much of the GOP leadership all in the space of few days.

The August massacre, you might say.

Using that logic, Barry blamed white people and cops for ferguson, baltimore and others. People died. People had their homes and businesses burnt down. Stolen from. So much hate..
Ugh, you people, all of you, are so disingenuous it makes me sick.
Both sides WERE to blame for violence. Only ONE PERSON is to blame for her death.

LOL anyone remember how the left treats people when they imply all muslims are bad when one straps bombs to their children and sends them to the town hall?

You are becoming quite adept at babbling nonsensically in your own words as well as those of others.

Your stupid post contains no evidence of military leaders "breaking" with Trump, and the fact that you would post such nonsense from NBC is clearly indicative that you rely not upon your own intellect - such as it is - to filter madness from reality, but are quite content to be led around by an idiot adolescent "journalism" born of desperation.

Funny post. Reading it was like watching a lava lamp in action.

Trump is being almost universally excoriated for his handling - not to mention his opinions - on this matter,

and the last remnants of the Trump cult boldly declare that everyone is wrong except them.

So now since they don't mention the dead woman in the news you decied to invoke her death to get little brownie points on USMB? That's lower then the whitntrash who killed the poor woman. You are definitely a lower life form. I would call you a pig, but then a pig has a bit more class.

Democrats and their supporters, public and private, are the only ones "excoriating" him.

Most interesting above all is Krauthammer's unmasking as a sad #nevertrump-er willing to bring down a president because Rubio didn't get anywhere in the campaign.

That said, your post remains a lie.

this is how the liberal press operates. are we still talking about russia ? or is Trump being the Grand Wizard
of the kkk the new meme ? or do i detect a whiff of anti semitism from the left.

the Generals cant or wont quit and walk off like the CEO council did ... they were being LEADERS sending a clear message to ALL MILITARY PERSONELL.

NAZI PUNK ASS BITCHES DO NOT BELONG IN OUR MILITARY AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

Trump is the leader? of the military, and refused to make that point so someone HAD to step up, and the Generals did just that.

FUCK TRUMP.

Trump made the point. He also refused to let the other side get off with a pass from the Democrats and media.
