This was once the liberal media darling story. A bunch of rich white boys raped a poor black girl. A tough Democrat DA took on the privileged and was going to see that justice done

The liberal media, the so called civil rights leaders, some 90 liberal Professors at Duke all convicted the male students within days

Mike Nifong used this and the race card to get reelected. He knew the boys were innocent, but he had more important issues. Like the liberal media, he saw this as he saw Amercia. A bunch of white racits in a southern state College, taking advantage of a poor black women

To bad for them - it was all a lie. And the DA knew it was

Will the NY Times and other liberal papers have their apology on the front page tomorrow?

Good news!

I am glad they got the jerk out of his office, but what about the liberal media, the civil rights leaders, and all the Duke Professors who slandered the players?

What will happen to them?

Probably nothing

No probably not.

But I'm more POed at the university for concluding the kids were guilty.

They were going along with the liberal media

This story was perfect for them - it fit their view of Amercia

Serves the arrogant son of a bitch right, and it's the least he deserves. I think each of those boys should have a swing at him with an axe handle.

Duke University caved to the media frenzy big time. Duke University President Richard Brodhead cancelled the Lacrosse season and essentially fired the coach, Mike Pressler (he was forced out after the season was cancelled). Broadhead presumed guilt before innocence. Now to be entirely consistent, Broadhead should be fired by the Duke University Board of Trustees, and then Coach Pressler should sue both Broadhead and the University. Then every person who was a Duke University Board of Trustees member at the time it sanctioned Broadhead's behavior should be dismissed. But other than the Pressler law suits, none of that will happen.

If you'll remember, FOX News was all over the story like a cheap suit as well.

Unlike the liberal media - they did NOT convict the students in their "stories"

This was the perfect story for the liberal media. If fit their view of Amercia. A bunch of rich white kids rape a poor black girl. and it happened in a racist southern state.

Like the Dan Rather National Guard story - it was so juicy, and they wanted it to be true - they did not wait to check out the facts

In both cases, it blew up in their faces

I like the headline in the Washington Compost this morning. Talk about down playing the lies of the Dem DA. The liberal media has been given a big shit burger to eat, and they do not like it

Prosecutor in Duke Case Gives Up His Law License

RALEIGH, N.C., June 16 -- Hours after he was found guilty of ethics violations in his prosecution of three Duke University lacrosse players falsely accused of sexual assault, Durham County District Attorney Michael B. Nifong on Saturday surrendered his law license to the state bar and said he would waive his right to appeal.

A three-person North Carolina State Bar disciplinary panel, on the fifth day of an ethics hearing, said the evidence showed that Nifong had withheld crucial information from the students' defense attorneys and engaged in "dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation" during his prosecution of the case. The panelists were about to announce whether Nifong should be disbarred when his attorney announced that Nifong had decided disbarment was the appropriate punishment. Nifong had already said he would quit his Durham position.
