Michigan School Shooting, 3 dead.

It’s amazing he entered a Not Guilty plea. What’s his defense? Insanity? Being bullied? Glad he’s being tried as an adult.

Insanity won't work, because I heard that when they arrested him, he said "I want to talk to my lawyer". Is that True, otherwise did anyone else hear about that ??

I don’t remember that, maybe. His parents were quick to make sure he didn’t talk to the police, which is their right I guess.

I’m wondering who -if anyone- advised him to plead Not Guilty. His parents? The lawyer who represented him briefly for entering his plea mentioned in the video was only there as a formality. I don’t think seen his “real” lawyer yet.

This kid is in a world of hurt and I'm glad for it. On top of four murder charges--and I pray to God it's not more--the Oakland Co prosecutor has hit him with a terrorism charge. We do not have the death penalty in MI, but he will never see the light of day outside of prison ever, ever again.

Surrounding districts are now closed because of copycat threats and the unearthing of old threats being circulated. It's just a hot mess.

I do wonder if the parents telling him not to talk to anyone is part of covering their own asses. Michigan law allows for them to be charged if their weapon was used and it had not been stored in a secure manner.

People really trying to pass this off on the schools. There were apparently a couple of behavior meetings, one with the parents the day of the shooting. Even the media saying the school is responsible, should have known, etc.

Really? In a high school with 1700 kids, every time a kid gets sent to the office and/or there's a meeting with parents, the school should ASSUME the kid is a school shooter? The same people b1tching about that would also whine up a storm if every kid sent to the office was ASSUMED to be a killer.

It's all so stupid. Just make parents be parents. The end.

Kids being kids, they say crazy stuff all the time.

Everyday there's at least one who says he'll shoot up the school, but he isn't taken seriously.

Maybe it's time to start taking it seriously and locking people up for making such threats even if they're joking.

We do that with bomb threats. You call a school and make a bomb threat; you're going to jail.

It's a 20 year FELONY in Michigan.
Several copycats have been arrested so far

He is a minor. They really should not be identifying any information until he has been formally charged as an adult.

The police have searched his phone.. He was elated that he would have access to his father's new gun and the shooting were planned in advance.

The parents are being charged with involuntary manslaughter

Suspect’s parents charged in Michigan school shooting

Excerpt:

James and Jennifer Crumbley were charged with four counts each of involuntary manslaughter.

Authorities have said Ethan Crumbley opened fire shortly before 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oxford High School, roughly 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of Detroit. Seven students and a teacher were shot before Crumbley surrendered to sheriff’s deputies.

Three of the students died Tuesday. The fourth died Wednesday at a hospital.

The semi-automatic gun used in the shooting was purchased legally by Crumbley’s father last week, according to investigators.

“The parents were the only individuals in the position to know the access to weapons,” Oakland County prosecutor Karen McDonald said Thursday. The gun “seems to have been just freely available to that individual.”

She said then that the parents’ actions went “far beyond negligence.”

Ethan Crumbley has been charged as an adult with two dozen crimes, including murder, attempted murder and terrorism.

But he says he's innocent!
