MI Dem Rep Who Called Her A Liar
Evidently Democrat State Rep. Cynthia Johnson has no idea what an Affidavit is, that it is a signed legal statement - a written sworn oath, that, if proven to be a lie, carries the punishment of a Criminal Charge of Perjury.
Hima, an immigrant from India and IT specialist gave a spectacular testimony tonight in front of the MI House Oversight Committee about the events she witnessed as a GOP and Independent poll challenger at the TCF Center. After her testimony, Johnson used her time to call Hima and the witness next to her 'LIARS' and demand Hima be sworn in under oath. Evidently this was supposed to frighten Hima in regards to giving the testimony she gave. It FAILED miserably to do so.
The intended attempt to intimidate the 1st-hand-account Whistle Blower with a threat of Perjury for false testimony was made, seemingly ignorant of the fact that the Affidavit Hima had already signed already guaranteed a criminal charge of Perjury if she was found to be lying, was pointless. It was political theatrics and an attempt to intimidate a witness.
Hima responded by quickly agreeing to be sworn in under oath but added, "If that is something you want me to do, I will do it. Can I just say one thing though? If it is a lie, it may change, because a liar has to have a lot of memory power. If it is truth, you can ask me in the middle of the night and it will still be the same thing.”
The room erupted with applause.
