No, but Obama did set historical precedent when he visited our troops in Afghanistan, when he ordered prior to the event that ALL US military personnel be disarmed beforehand. This in a war zone, where Taliban rocket and RPG attacks were frequent. It'd never happened before in US history. It'd happened frequently under people like Stalin and Pol Pot, in terror states where dictators were supremely paranoid, but never before in US history had a president ordered such an outrage of his troops at the front.

They did not lose a battle. They were ordered to escort the embassy personnel to the airport and then board a commercial airliner. Handing over 100 assault rifles and sidearms is not much.

And yes, I think 100 well armed US Marines could handle some KKK-wannabes quite well. The question is how many of the "brave" talking racial-socialist would stand fast in the face of those marines. I'm betting most would cut & run.
