My bro is pretty religious. He and his family go to church regularly. I would never tell my 18 year old nephew i don’t believe in god. So you can imagine my delight when he told me he wasn’t sure he believes in god. But then he starts telling me stuff that he learned at church. Like he said my father is committing the greatest sin. Not going to church and receiving communion.

So I pointed out to him church is a business and of course the church is going to say the greatest sin is not coming to their business every week.

So no god isn’t a fact. If it was why is this kid doubting it after 18 years of being brainwashed?

it tells me that religions are dying. People are getting smarter. And it didn’t take me telling him for him to figure it out.

Also, don’t worry about it. He’s at the age where kids question everything. He may decide he believes. I’m just glad he’s not completely brainwashed. He’s considered both options. I’m proud of him.

I said to him, “do you believe in evolution?” He said yes. I said do you remember when your dad said he didn’t? He said yea, I don’t know how he got to be so religious.

So you can imagine my delight when he told me he wasn’t sure he believes in god. But then he starts telling me stuff that he learned at church. Like he said my father is committing the greatest sin. So I pointed out to him church is a business and of course the church is going to say the greatest sin is not coming to their business every week.
