How progressive and forward thinking.

Via Washington Examiner:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Tuesday tweeted out a link to a webpage that encourages people to think about the food they need for the week, make a list and then shop for that food at a store.

USDA’s tweet linked to a page called “list your weekly meals” that said it’s best to “write down meals you want to make this week” before making a grocery list. Doing it in that order, the site says, means “fewer shopping trips,” and will help people buy only the things they need to eat that week.

The site also has four steps people can use to plan what to buy at the store.

“Look in your freezer, cabinets and refrigerator,” it said. “Make a note of what you currently have on hand.”

It also suggests people “use a worksheet” to keep track of it all, and to “think about your schedule” when it comes to planning which meals to cook on which nights.

I've been hearing an inane radio ad for a long time "chicken in the car and the car won't go-yada yada" and call the federal government to find out how to be a father. There's another one featuring hands making music with the message "if an adult suddenly collapses press hard and fast on their chest". The problem is that sometimes adults collapse for other reasons than heart attacks such as diabetes and if you spring to action and press hard and fast on their chests you may well cause a heart attack. Not enough information and simple cures for for complicated issues is the hallmark of federal bureaucracies that only seem to exist to get bigger and get more funding.

If you were a corrupt politician and wished to extort money from businesses, what better government agency to use than the EPA? And now you know why neither establishment party will rein in that agency.

This is an example of the ridiculous non-issues conservatives get needlessly upset about.
