LOS ANGELES (AP) — Nearly 500 Los Angeles Unified School District employees were fired this week for refusing to comply with a mandate that they get vaccinated against COVID-19, while some 34,000 students have not yet been vaccinated as required.

The school board voted 7-0 in separate motions on Tuesday to terminate 496 employees, who make up less than 1% of the district’s approximately 73,000 workers.

Most of those fired had likely been on leave since mid-October when LAUSD staffers were to have received at least their first vaccine dose, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. Employees were required to receive their second dose by Nov. 15.

Tough luck for the holdout employees, but I'm sure they figured they would be alright when they made their decision.
The thing about the 3400 unvaccinated kids in their schools sound weird. Forced into individual studies sounds like the distance learning that probably 80% plus of the students in the country were forced into for most of the 2020 school year. Didn't LA learn anything about that kind of thing in last two years?

LA needs 73,000 workers just to run the public school? Let's fire about 25,000 more. It's not like it will make any difference to the kids they graduate!

Are you surprised?
Nope, when the courts overwhelmingly ban these unconstitutional actions, I can't wait for the lawsuits that will bankrupt these communist school systems and the governors who have mandated these draconian measures.
