We don't need any excuse, Iran has been attacking us and threatening us and breaking agreements for 47 years starting with the overthrow of the Shaw, the stealing of the private oil companies built there by the UK and us, attacking the US Cole, killing thousands of Americans and being proxy to multiple terrorist organizations throughout the Middle East, now lobbing bombs on innocent neighbors and trying to seize international waters and communications in the area while using nothing but stall and delay tactics to buy time while they continue to arm to the teeth and build atomic bombs with which to take hostage half the planet to their whims.

There is never any negotiations happening, if there were any actual negotiations happening, we'd have no reason to attack. Iran is beaten, they clearly cannot win this thing and they really have no position from which to negotiate! All Iran will ever really agree to and stick with is an agreement which allows them to do everything they want, and it is high time Trump stop the stalling, hoping others will come help, he went into this as a lone wolf with just us and Israel, now it is high time he finish it whatever the consequences to Iran, their government has brought it all on themselves.

Regime change can not be effectuated by air power and naval block-aid alone, it necessitates ground troops. Intelligent strategists all know this.

The amount of ground troops required would necessitate a military draft. This isn't the late sixties, the folks that would be drafted already know that this is not in America's or their interest. I know you would want to debate that last statement, but that is how the eligible draft population feels, that part is not up for debate.

Any move to draft them for what they perceive as the agenda of Israel and the deep state will cause a revolt, and the necessary troops needed for a war that has not been declared by congress would not be available.

Thus, logic dictates, America cannot possibly effectuate a regime change.
