Looks like the Dream Act is on

I've know kids, gone to school with kids who were brought to this nation when they were infants and who are as American as any of us, who certainly deserve to be citizens.

Those kids are no more aliens than we are. The only place they know, the only society they belong to is the one they know right here inthe USA.

If this act addresses their legal plight, givening them a path to citizenship, then I am all for it.

I agree totally. But the point is the selective enforcement of the law to buy votes...

Yea...all those illegals between 18 and 30 are our "best educated".

I wrote nothing that even resembles this. Try reading it again. We DO deport the best educated BECAUSE they did not come into the country illegally.

Sorry but no, its not "impeachable".

More have been deported than at any time since the 50s. Why not do what is best for the country? In order to think that way, some will first have to understand that the US has FOUR open borders. Not all illegals are Latino.

I'm afraid many still believe that just because Mitt greeted his illegal yard workers with "Buenos dias" every day, that ALL illegals came from the south. Yes, Mitt's came from Guatemala but there are three other borders.
When Reagan was president the government gave amnesty to illegals and it was supposed to be a one time deal that would solve the illegal problem. How many times have we given illegal citizenship since then or talked about doping it since then?

Hispanic women have the highest unmarried birthrate in the country—over three times that of whites and Asians, and nearly one and a half times that of black women, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Every 1,000 unmarried Hispanic women bore 92 children in 2003 (the latest year for which data exist), compared with 28 children for every 1,000 unmarried white women, 22 for every 1,000 unmarried Asian women, and 66 for every 1,000 unmarried black women. Forty-five percent of all Hispanic births occur outside of marriage, compared with 24 percent of white births and 15 percent of Asian births. Only the percentage of black out-of-wedlock births—68 percent—exceeds the Hispanic rate. But the black population is not going to triple over the next few decades.

Given what psychologists and sociologists now know about the much higher likelihood of social pathology among those who grow up in single-mother households, the Hispanic baby boom is certain to produce more juvenile delinquents, more school failure, more welfare use, and more teen pregnancy in the future.

I doubt that he will continue to get the hispanic vote. Maybe the vote of the new citizen's that Univision has been working/helping to become citizens BEFORE November 2012. What they fail to understand it that there are citizens of HISPANIC descent in this country who do not look favorably at illegal entry. I would venture to say that the majority will NOT vote for him this time around. This move might help about 10 years down the line but not this time. This man needs to be taken out of office before it's too late - and all his socialist friends also.

"That's not part of his power, but this is part of the whole theory of George Bush that he can make laws as he goes along. I disagree with that. I taught the Constitution for 10 years. I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States. We're not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress," then-Senator Obama said as a presidential candidate in 2008.

Really people, who are we kidding???? This move on the part of Obama is no big deal. When has this country made it a priority to deport these youngsters who were brought there as babies by their illegal parents??? NEVER!!! Now they might just be cause if they commit ANY crime no matter how minor, they WILL be deported. It seems that ANY crime now is a felony. Nope, something just does not jive. I know MANY illegal students who hold jobs; many who do NOT live in fear; many who do not live in the shadows; and many who do not seem to think this was a necessary move! What they know will now happen is that they will have to be very, very careful with EVERY move that they make.
