They seem to be upset about the punishment. If only a liberal darling group member who commit and anti LGBT attack, then liberals would finally stop apologizing for the attackers.

This is the perfect example of why we need restorative justice. Richard Thomas is now another young black man who is in the system, from which he will probably never escape. What good does that do for society? For him? His potential is squandered. Wouldn't volunteering in the LBGTQ community provide a chance for education and change? Oakland. Once the Murder Capital of the US. I grew up in Long Beach California and learned early on that thugs will for the most part leave you alone if they know you'll fight back. So, you learn to defend yerself.

Maybe "Sasha" should have spent more time learning to defend himself instead reading books on how to be "Agender"?
