I knew this was coming and now it's gaining traction. I wonder if they will get Warren Buffet to run or better yet fund the campaign of the socialist that does. Of course Warren still owes the Federal government 1 billion in back taxes, he is hoping that the rest of the so-called millionaires will be taxed enough so that it lightens his tax burden,

Liberals vow to challenge Obama in Democratic primaries - Washington Times

President Obama's smooth path to the Democratic nomination may have gotten rockier Monday, after a group of liberal leaders, including former presidential candidate Ralph Nader, announced plans to challenge the incumbent in primaries next year. The group said the goal is to offer up a handful of candidates from various fields and areas where the president either has failed to stake out a"progressive" position or where he has "drifted toward the corporatist right." "Without debates by challengers inside the Democratic Party's presidential primaries, the liberal/majoritarian agenda will be muted and ignored," Mr.Nader said in a news release. "The one-man Democratic primaries will be dull, repetitive, and draining of both voter enthusiasm and real bright lines between the two parties that excite voters." In search of candidates, Mr. Nader and the others sent out a letter, endorsed by 45 "distinguished leaders,"to elected officials, civic leaders, academics and members of the progressive community who specialize among other things in labor, poverty, military and foreign policy. The list, they said, also includes progressive Democrats who have held national and state office and have fought for progressive reforms. "We need to put strong Democratic pressure on President Obama in the name ofpoor and working people" said Cornel West, author and professor at Princeton University who has been highly critical of Mr. Obama's tenure since helping him get elected in 2008. "His administration has tilted too much toward WallStreet, we need policies that empower Main Street." Mr. Nader and Mr. West are joined by Christ Townsend, of the United Electrical, Radio and Machine Workers of America, and Brent Blackwelder, president emeritus of Friends of the Earth.

There are 23 senators with seats that are suddenly vulnerable. Running against Obama and maybe loosing your seat against running with Obama and pretty much guaranteed to loose your seat.

Interesting conundrum.

There are probably a bunch of term limited Dem Governors that are also thinking of moving up to the purple. Nothing to loose, everything to gain, and Obama is looking pretty wounded right now.

Nader is the only true voice of Progressives! Obama is Chenenys latest sock puppet! Nader needs to run as a Third Party Candidate!

Is Ric Perry behind this mess too?

puleeze....

Exactly!!! Nader ran in the last election and went no where. They ran a Green party, Marijuana party and other liberal 3rd parties last election (along with conservative ones like the constitution and libertarian parties) and they went no where.

It would only matter it a strong precences Democratic liberal like Clinton, Pelosi, Reid, Bloomberg ran (or on the reverse end a Ron Paul or Trump figure ran). Otherwise the third party spoiler won't make a dent!

Racist bastards.
