Bill de Blasio always has people around him with guns so why exactly would he need to? If this guy wants to carry, good for him but it's going to be a bit redundant. Now if he would argue he would dismiss all protection saving the taxpayers who knows how much money and protect himself, now that would be impressive.

You should have watched the complete video. That is exactly what he argues. He says that a Mayor should be able to walk the streets of NY without an armed entourage and thats why he will carry.
