We all remember this. He rolled the dice and crapped out. If it was still 60 votes to confirm a judge, none of Trump’s judges would have been confirmed. THAT SHIT IS ON THE DEMS. THOSE ASSHOLES CHANGED THE RULES.

Blame Mitch McConnell

Our judicial system appointments were working just fine with most judges getting bipartisan confirmation.

Mitch invoked a filibuster on every appointment and blocked Democrats from filling court seats.

Dems threatened to end the practice of filibuster on lower seats if he did not stop abusing it.

Mitch forced their hand

Harry Reid wanted to install partisan hacks to the court.

They couldn't nominate a judge that could get 10 republicans. If they came to the middle a little bit they probably could have gotten 10 republicans for a moderate judge.

If you believe Democrat propaganda like this you are an idiot.

And I would caution you to remember (in light of the possible switch of power in one week) that what goes around, comes around.
How many of Trump's judges were missing vetting paperwork or approvals? How many of them were flat out unqualified to be judges?
Be careful what you wish for here. The shoe may be on the other foot shortly.

Moscow Mitch was the one who changed the rule to allow SC justices to be confirmed by a simple majority.

That's okay the Constitution provides various means to rectify the situation.

I love this Obama quote on Reid going nuclear.

"I'm a former senator. So is my vice president. We both value any Senate's duty to advise and consent. It's important and we take that very seriously," the president said today. "But a few now refuse to treat that duty of advise and consent with the respect that it deserves. It's no longer used in a responsible way to govern. It's rather used as a reckless and relentless tool to grind all business to a halt."

Ok Barry.

Yup. This one is on the Republicans. No question. The Dems weren't the one's who denied a hearing to a nominee or denied a president his right to fill a vacancy for purely political reasons. All this other crap they're throwing in? It's just flailing for the moral highroad, washed away in their power grab flood.

Ginsberg and Scalia each had over 90 votes. Scumbags Biden & Kennedy changed that maybe forever

Because they were putting up commie judges, not bipartisan types. Get your facts straight.

What goes already came around. Harry Reid was a corrupt and lying sack of shit. He lied on the Senate floor that Romney had not paid taxes in years. When proven that he LIED, HE FAMOUSLY SAID, “He isnt President, is he.”

Fuck Harry Reid. I love that the mob tuned him up. He is scum.

Just WHO opened that door? If not for the fact of what Dingy Harry pushed, we would not be having this thread.

Because Dems were politicizing Gorsuch. Why wasnt he qualified but Kegan and Sotomayor were? Specifically.

Nope.

Who filled that vacancy?

Refusing to vote to confirm is different (Harriet Myers was another who didn't make the cut, and that from both parties) - from refusing to even hold a hearing on a bogus claim 9 months was too close to an election...

They all politicize the other's choices. So what? That's not the same as blocking a president from filling a vacancy for purely political reasons and you know it.

You guys need to quit with the excuses and man up and own what you did.

It's Mitch McConnell and Trump's fault. It'll come back around on other GOPs though.
