Liberalism: The Good Parts

If liberals want to win back the US, they need to regroup and get back to the liberalism that our country is founded on. Hint - it's not socialism.
 
Anyway, what do you all think? What are the good parts of liberalism? Here's one: equal rights. Everyone should have equal rights under the law. I think we have solid consensus on that in the US.

Everyone already has equal rights. Those were brought to us courtesy of the Republican Party.

Although I did like the time that liberal JFK stared down the Russians and the Cubans. He was a good liberal.

Thats not a "Liberal" idea.

Historically, it is. Liberalism has changed a lot, under the Democrats, but it's really the source of most libertarian, limited-government values. It's what the founders were riffing on.
