This Learn Liberty video really encapsulates the essence of the flawed liberal ideology. Restricting capitalism and making things "fair" for everyone only leads to Zimbabwe-level poverty, record job losses, and an unprecedented flight of wealth.

I pray for the day when government programs were judged by their outcomes rather than the good intentions of the designers.

Liberals, what I don't get is this: how can you justify diminishing economic freedom whenit's always failed miserably?

dear Idiots do you forget your on the side of the "job Creators " remember?

Your the ones who hate the poor and love the rich remember?

The need to boil everything down to simplicity is a common flaw in conservative thinking. Nothing about the economy is ever so simple that it can be explained in a few short words. I wonder when cartoons became the preferred method of conservative indoctrination?

Yes, because the #1 way to get the poor out of poverty is to tax small businesses and rich people more so they'll higher fewer people. As we all know, unemployment is the #1 cure to poverty and is the top job creator, as queen Pelosi decreed.

Income inequality leads to more people in jail, unemployment, underemployment, slower growth in demand, and other societal problems relating to the problems mentioned above.

In order to understand economics it helps to think of it as a circle or cycle. If any part of the cycle has a problem it will cause problems in other places. In order to fix an economy one must address the root cause of the problem.

Income inequality, reliance on debt, weak labor participation, and increase dependence on government is going to happen when there are massive capital inflows into a country over a long period of time.

Seriously? You can't possibly be saying people have been better off where the State declared equal incomes for all. We need to agree that we like the fact that people create their incomes, that people are different, and therefore people's incomes can vary.

What's the problem?

Compare this graph of percentage of people living in poverty with this map of economic freedom by country.

Clearly there's a strong inverse relationship between economic freedom and % living in poverty. Thus, your point is false.

You're a bogus conservative, Mr. Starkey. You bash us constantly and never criticize the socialistic Dems 1 iota.

Clearly there's a strong inverse relationship between economic freedom and % living in poverty.

Compare the % of those who live in poverty today in the country 100 years after the beginning of social market democracy to those who lived in poverty before it.

If you do not like our market regulations, then move to China, because they won't end here.

Dear right wing, brain dead, fucking partisan hacks who refuse facts daily,

this country has already deemed taxes and helping the poor LEGAL and FULLY constitutional.

stop pretending you will change those decisions.

It makes you look like vacuous fucking zombies
