Let's Examine the Claims of Atheists

Geez dude, everyone gets it, so there's no need to keep hammering on your point. You made up some stupid crap, you got called on it, and now you're blubbering helplessly. Please stop. You're making everyone else cringe in sympathetic embarrassment.

Now, let's watch you run away again, because that never gets old.

For the fourth time, I'll ask you to back up your claim that the idea of God is independent of humans thinking it up.

And for the fourth time, you'll cry and run, leaving a trail of piddle behind you. It's what you do. It's all you do, ever.

You insolent heathen, the universally apprehended idea of God the Creator objectively exists in its own right as it imposes itself on the human mind without the human mind willing that it do so. You foolishly concede that every time you open your yap to say anything at all about the idea of God. The ramifications of your very own thought processes fly right over your head. :poke:

Tell me, dummy, do you make it a habit of denying belief in things or denying the existence of things you don't understand? That's weird. :poke:

I laugh at you. I do. I open my mouth and laughter comes out. I mock you. I do. I guffaw.

:auiqs.jpg:

I continue to laugh at your silly ass.

Atheism as a Religion: A Book Excerpt

By Mike Dobbins

One sacred symbol to atheists is the 'A' that symbolizes atheism. Three 'A' symbols are prominent in atheism. One 'A' symbol was created in 2007 by Atheist Alliance International and has a circle around it. The circle is meant to symbolize the unity of all atheists and the inclusion of all other atheist symbols. As you can tell, not only are these symbols for atheism, there is atheist religious symbolism within them that only atheists or those who study atheism know.

A second popular 'A' symbol was created by Richard Dawkins and is a red letter 'A' on a right leaning slant. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has adopted this symbol to represent it when they set up monuments to atheism. The third sacred 'A' symbol was created by the American Atheists and is placed in the middle of an atomic circle. The organization chose this as their symbol in 1963 to demonstrate their faith that science can save and free mankind. The letter 'A' stands in the middle of the atomic sign but rather than meaning atheism, it represents the first letter of the country in which the group is located. This obviously leads to problems since 'A' could stand for Austria, Algeria, Australia, and so on, but I suppose they weren't thinking that far ahead. The Atomic A, as it is known, is allowed on gravestones of U.S. military personnel who are atheists. Atheism is so sacred to some atheists that they want the atheist 'A' to represent them to the world after their death.

Many atheists demonstrated just how sacred the symbol 'A' is to them in the Christmas of 2013. Since my hometown city of Chicago allows a Hanukkah Menorah and Nativity scene to display on government property during the holiday season, the atheists asked to display their own religious symbol so the government wouldn't give the appearance to be endorsing one religion or the other. The monument the Freedom From Religion Foundation chose was a giant Richard Dawkins letter 'A' which stood 8 feet tall and lit up red at night for all to see. Countless atheists showed respect for the 'A' by making a pilgrimage to the site where the 'A' was displayed and having their picture taken with the 'A' which I'm sure will be kept as a cherished keep sake for many. Still, the giant red A was not enough. They also advocated for their atheist faith by erecting a sign that read, "There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds."

it's not just atheists - christianity is a political organization disguised as a religion that uses false claims of representation for events in the 1st century they have deliberately altered to sanctify their nefarious, selfserving agendas.

For decades the old Piney Point plant has sat near the edge of Tampa Bay, threatening the region with ecological disaster. Polluted discharges have happened before, some reaching a nearby aquatic preserve.

The site was home to a fertilizer manufacturing business before being abandoned. Left behind were long phosphogypsum stacks — berms that rise above the surrounding area and need to be monitored because of the material’s radioactivity. Phosphogypsum is a byproduct of processing phosphate.

Florida is home to about two dozen such stacks.

throughout the ages the desert religions have been the most responsible for the heinous crimes committed by societal humanity against not only individuals but the very Garden they inhabit.

Of course atheist governments have committed many crimes.

You mean starving and murdering their own citizens by the millions are crimes?
Lenin, Stalin, Chairman Mao, Pol Pot and even the Adolf Hitler that atheists do headstands to try to lie him into Christianity.

But Christianity is an invention of sick brains: one could imagine nothing more senseless, nor any more indecent way of turning the idea of the Godhead into a mockery. – Adolf Hitler

“In Hitler’s eyes Christianity was a religion fit only for slaves,” wrote Alan Bullock “Hitler, A Study in Tyranny,” a seminal biography. “Its teaching, he declared, was a rebellion against the natural law of selection by struggle of the fittest.”

You are correct that there were bad Atheist leaders out there that caused a lot of misery, although Hitler was a nominal Catholic who dabbled with the vague almighty god crap to help bolster his Aryan beliefs and other horrible ideas.

"So what was Hitler?
If Hitler wasn’t an occultist, a neopagan, an atheist, or a Christian, then what was he?

The answer is that, religiously as in other matters, he was an eclectic who didn’t follow an established school of thought. Instead, he borrowed different ideas that were floating around in the culture of his day. If we had to describe his religious views in a single phrase, we could say that he was a pseudo-scientific evolutionary pantheist. Each of these elements requires some unpacking."

I woke up this morning to another epiphany.
Atheists, like so many Leftists, can best be described by their unmitigated gall of fatuous insouciance. They think, and pretend, that they have all the answers. They're their own god.

They worship "science" without acknowledging that it is God's Creation.
Their claims of science having a "self-correcting mechanism" reflects their profound ignorance that this is only trial and error, practiced by every living thing, from animals to plants. Tip over a potted plant, and it begins growing upward, using its "self-correcting mechanism." Science in plants. Who knew? Not atheists, that's for sure.

But your god can't help you answer post 146.

“The first gulp from the glass of natural sciences will turn you into an atheist, but at the bottom of the glass God is waiting for you.” -― Werner Heisenberg

Obviously many atheists who boast of their scientific acumen have only had their first gulp, and a very small one at that.

The most scientific proof of Nature's God is the Nature He created, as evidenced by:
1. The Anthropic Principle, a statistical certainty citing dozens of physical constants far too precise to have "happened" by themselves,
2. The insuperable statistics of polypeptide synthesis. We can take a schematic of any electronic device and make one. We have schematics of human cells and cannot begin to synthesize one in a laboratory.
3. Historical evidences uncovered validating the Holy Bible.
4. Personal victories and strengths enjoyed by practicing Christians and Jews who adhere to the Holy Bible, as compared to the misery accompanying godless Leftists such as Chairman Mao and Joseph Stalin. "Atheism is an inseparable part of Marxism." - Lenin

Romans 1:25 >

25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones.

27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done.

29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips,

["Due penalty for their error" as in:
1. Clinical depression,
2. Higher than normal suicide rate,
3. Shortened life span,
4. Violent behavior including abuse and mass murder as evidenced by John Wayne Gacey (33 murder victims), Randy Kraft, William Bonin, Jeffrey Dahmer, Donald Harvey (37 murder victims), Patrick Kearney (32 killed), Bruce Davis (27)......

The Atheist Claim of Rationality and Intellectual Superiority

If atheists are, on average, intellectually superior to people of faith, then why do they abandon their religious belief in atheism at a rate higher than any other group? (The Supreme Court has adjudged atheism a religion.)

Atheists marry less, by far, than those of faith.

Recently the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life has published its mammoth study on Religion in America based on 35,000 interviews... According to the Pew Forum a whopping 37% of atheists never marry as opposed to 19% of the American population, 17% of Protestants and 17% of Catholics.[3]
The religious have better mental health into adulthood.
The abstract for the journal article Health and Well-Being Among the Non-religious: Atheists, Agnostics, and No Preference Compared with Religious Group Members published in the Journal of Religion and Health indicates: "On dimensions related to psychological well-being, atheists and agnostics tended to have worse outcomes than either those with religious affiliation or those with no religious preference."[2]
Global News reported:
“ Children who are raised with religious or spiritual beliefs tend to have better mental health into their adulthood, a new study from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health found.
According to the study’s findings, people who attended weekly religious services or prayed or meditated daily in their childhood reported greater life satisfaction in their 20s. People who grew up in a religious household also reported fewer symptoms of depression and lower rates of post-traumatic stress disorder.[3]
People of faith live longer than atheists.
For the study, a team of Ohio University academics, including associate professor of psychology Christian End, analysed more than 1,500 obituaries from across the US to piece together how the defining features of our lives affect our longevity.
These records include religious affiliations and marriage details as well as information on activities, hobbies and habits, which can help or hinder our health, not otherwise captured in census data.

The study, published in Social Psychological and Personality Science today, found that on average people whose obituary mentioned they were religious lived an extra 5.64 years.
Atheists commit suicide far more often than those of faith, which is clearly not "rational"
"Atheism: Contemporary Rates and Patterns" in The Cambridge Companion to Atheism, ed. by Michael Martin, Cambridge University Press: Cambridge, UK (2005). In examining various indicators of societal health, Zuckerman concludes about suicide:
"Concerning suicide rates, this is the one indicator of societal health in which religious nations fare much better than secular nations. According to the 2003 World Health Organization's report on international male suicides rates (which compared 100 countries), of the top ten nations with the highest male suicide rates, all but one (Sri Lanka) are strongly irreligious nations with high levels of atheism. It is interesting to note, however, that of the top remaining nine nations leading the world in male suicide rates, all are former Soviet/Communist nations, such as Belarus, Ukraine, and Latvia. Of the bottom ten nations with the lowest male suicide rates, all are highly religious nations with statistically insignificant levels of organic atheism."[3]
The list of atheist shooters and serial killers does not correspond to claims of intellectual superiority and rationality.

Atheists have a long record of being mass shooters and militant atheism in general has a causal association with mass murder.
Due to this fact, peer reviewed research published in academic journals has found that society-at-large is likely to hold atheists responsible for capital criminal acts and that even atheists are likely to assume that serial killers are fellow atheists.[2][3][4]

Irrational Atheism

Atheists always claim to be more rational and more intelligent than Christians. They do not provide evidence of their arrogant, pretentious claim, but even if they did, it does not begin to prove their claim that God does not exist. Implied but not stated is the presumption that BECAUSE atheists are much smarter than you are, THEY must be right, and YOU must be wrong. That does not logically follow, and is a clear Fallacy of the Argument From Authority. So the statement of intellectual superiority itself is irrational.

Atheists claim that "there is no proof" of God. They seem blissfully ignorant of the fact that proof only exists in mathematics. So says mathematics professor John Lennox, of Oxford University.

His remark is echoed by the late Carl Sagan, a militant agnostic and Leftist, who said, "Nothing is known for certain except in pure mathematics." Atheists seem to dispute even their beloved Carl Sagan as they insist that they know for certain that Darwin was indisputably right, though it is not known "for certain," according to Sagan, and therefore, what need for God? Atheists Stalin and Hitler agreed wholeheartedly.

That's very well plagiarized.
Religion is dying and to maintain relevance and re invigorate passion, they attempt to link it to science.
Whilst there are scientists who could believe in a god, science has never wasted a minute investigating religion because it's absolute rubbish.

As an atheist, I believe in nothing. From my point it's very hard to prove nothing. Atheists are not abandoning atheism at ever increasing rates. That's a lie. You might like to think its happening to bolster your ever decreasing followers, but its not happening.
Atheists don't change to ghosts and myths after realising there is nothing in religion.

Your reference to marriage and atheism I sd drawing a long blow and is totally irrelevant.
Try this. The same amount of women of faith have abortions at the same rate as atheists on a pro rata basis.
The same occurs for Catholic women who regularly take contraception against the church's wishes yet still attend mass etc. So let's get some facts into the conversation before you condemn atheists who don't have actions which are breathtakingly hypocritical

Finally an admission from a card-carrying atheist that they/you can't "prove" your inane beliefs. How rare is honesty from a godless Leftist. As to who abandons what, argue with Pew Research.

Christians are hypocrites. You have no point to make except to pretend that you are more "moral" than people of faith. But morality is irrelevant when, as you admit, you believe in and can prove "nothing." Christians do not pretend to be better than you, as you atheists constantly prattle at us. We are not saved by our personal conduct. Don't you even know that? It's quite elementary. We are saved by faith - something you obviously lack.

Nobody ever came home from prison proclaiming, "I found nothing in prison! Nothing saved me. I'm a changed man thanks to nothing!"

Well thanks to science we now know that solar eclipses are not a sign from God that He is displeased about something. That it is very doubtful some guy named Noah got a pair of every animal on earth on a single boat. The bible is full of 'miracles' such as burning bushes that talk etc. Interesting that as man got more knowledgeable about physics these 'miracles' became fewer and fewer. When was the last time anybody heard a voice coming from a burning bush..the last time anybody parted a sea.

Has anyone provided a proof of God's inexistence?
Not even close.
Has quantum cosmology explained the emergence of the universe or why it is here?
Not even close.
Have the sciences explained why our universe seems to be fine-tuned to allow for the existence of life?
Not even close.
Are physicists and biologists willing to believe in anything so long as it is not religious thought?
Close enough.
Has rationalism in moral thought provided us with an understanding of what is good, what is right, and what is moral?
Not close enough.
Has secularism in the terrible twentieth century been a force for good?
Not even close to being close.
Is there a narrow and oppressive orthodoxy of thought and opinion within the sciences?
Close enough.
Does anything in the sciences or in their philosophy justify the claim that religious belief is irrational?
Not even in the ballpark.
Is scientific atheism a frivolous exercise in intellectual contempt?
Dead on. (The Devil's Delusion: Atheism and Its Scientific Pretensions, by David Berlinski, front cover)

A grand piano is always tuned by an expert prior to a major concert. Why doesn't it simply tune itself, as atheists pretend everything else in the universe did?

A physics teacher I recently met asks his students, "How long would it take for a warehouse full of all the parts of a Tesla to assemble themselves into a functioning car? (No one utters any answer.)

He overlooked the bigger problem. How long would it take each and every part to design itself, to assemble itself from components all around the world, so that each and every part fits perfectly as required, and then transports itself to the one warehouse in the world where they will all be stored, awaiting self-assembly? The creation of all these parts is a far more complex order than merely assembling themselves, impossible as that so clearly is.
