Law enforcement / police current events

Toddlers in St. Paul cuss at and assault police officers.

July, 2022

This is what certain parts of America have turned into.

Thanks to both Republicans and Democrats. Two sides of the same turd.
I think you will find that most Republicans and Democrats find this type of behavior abhorrent.

Certain sectors of our society do vilify law enforcement, but I would guess that most of those people don't even vote.

For sure, Communist types like (yourself and) Antifa are more likely to be supportive of such nonsense.

It's easy to criticize. What do you PROPOSE?

Regards,
Jim

No, communists don't support any of it. We would invest in infrastructure (housing, public transit, schools) and eliminate all of the drug charges for possession, which amount to a significant percentage of criminal records in impoverished communities. Those records undermine people's efforts to improve their condition, financially and otherwise. We would establish a heavy police presence, and allow law-abiding members of the community (non-felons) to own and carry firearms (police-trained, neighborhood crime watch teams would be organized). We would then create programs to meet different community needs, like drug rehab, vocational training, employment/public works programs, daycare, school lunch programs..etc. Communists would also make drug dealing a capital offense worthy of death. Drug use or addiction would be decriminalized and treated as a medical condition whereas drug dealing would be handled as a crime worthy of the death penalty. That's the way to resolve these issues.

You should move to Seattle then. It sounds like a Communist paradise.

Not only are the streets filled with drug users

But they even have a statue of a famous Commie murderer....

Other than little Lefty cities, all you've got to chose from is China, Cuba, North Korea, Laos, and Vietnam.

None of that is communism.

Capitalists and their fans resort to cheap polemics when they assert that socialism doesn't work. Their standard for success is quite disingenuous and arbitrary. Success for one nation is not the same for another. If a nation begins with practically nothing and a few decades later becomes the second-largest economy in the world, rivaling a powerful hostile capitalist superpower that had more than a century's headstart, how can you with a straight face assert that was a failure? By what reasonable metric do you dismiss socialism as a failure? The facts are that when socialism is allowed to function without being attacked by capitalist-imperialists, as occurred throughout the history of the USSR and other nations like Cuba, Vietnam..etc, it does very well. Socialism is not communism, it's the process of socializing production from capitalism to communism.

Your demand that socialism must take over capitalism overnight, within just a few years or decades, if it is a viable economic model and mode of production is absurd and silly. Capitalism didn't replace slavery and feudalism overnight. It was a long process of trial and error, successes and failures, victories and defeats before the capitalists beat the monarchs and feudal lords. The merchants and capitalists didn't defeat the kings and nobles overnight, it took centuries. A few hundred years ago the proponents of slavery or feudalism were resorting to the same bullshit arguments that the fans of capitalism use today against socialism:

" Oh capitlaism doesn't work. You guys were defeated by the kings and nobles. Your economic system just doesn't work as you can see. Human nature demands slavery and absolute monarchy. Feudalism is the best we can do now and forever. Capitalism is nothing more than a pipe dream. It will never happen, because human nature won't permit it. Workers have to be enslaved by a master and driven by the whip. That's human nature."

Really? No. You're essentially applying the same faulty logic and arguments against socialism and communism. It will become quite obvious in the near future, that socialism (the socialization and democratization of production) will be the best, if not only solution to the elimination of wage-labor by technology. The capitalists might try giving people a Universal Basic Income to maintain capitalism on life support for a few more decades, creating a fake market with fake paying consumers, but that won't last too long. Production will be forced to re-organize itself, not for monetary gain but for the sake of meeting the needs of consumers. Consumers will always exist, PAYING consumers won't. There's a distinction between paying customers/consumers and simply people who need to consume (eat, clothe themselves..etc). Production will be for the sake of producing what we consume, not for the sake of private capital accumulation or profits. Monetary gain will no longer be the "bottom line", it will be meeting people's needs. Our "bottom line" will change out of necessity.

NO WAGE LABOR = NO PAYING CONSUMERS = NO MARKETS = NO CAPITALISM.

He and many other capitalists see the writing on the wall for capitalism.

I am sorry, but we have delved too far from law enforcement topics in this thread.

You do seem to be polite and responsive, using complete sentences and such, so maybe I will talk to you in a different thread some time, even though the topic of Communism vs. Capitalism is not very interesting to me.

When excitement happens, there are four types of people:
1) Those that run away
2) Those that freeze
3) Those that run towards the action and try to help and
4) Those that pull out their cell phones and start filming.

This Ohio suburb obviously has a lot of great citizens!

Good Samaritans in Ohio come to the rescue of female cop being attacked by suspect during traffic stop

  • On Saturday, a man being pulled over for speeding became immediately aggressive with a female police officer in an Ohio suburb
  • After refusing a series of commands, the suspect David Koubeck, 64, is shown to become physically violent with Willoughby Police Officer Stacee Wright
  • Shortly into the altercation, four good Samaritans show up out of nowhere to help subdue Koubeck
  • The officer was taken to a local hospital where she was treated for minor injuries
  • When questioned about his actions, Koubeck said that he was 'having a bad day' and never intended to hurt the officer

She apparently never saw this hilarious video...

God bless these heroes.

Watch these cops rush to save innocent children form an active shooter.

While searching the school, they hear gunshots upstairs, and immediately run as fast as they can toward the sound.
