Lack of Second Term Plans for Obama

While the Obama campaign continues to demand that Mitt Romney spell out every aspect of every plan on every issue, Obama has demonstrated zero interest whatsoever in laying out his plans for the future.

That’s the point of a new Republican National Committee video culled from today’s Sunday morning news shows, during which David Gregory of NBC, George Stephanopoulos of ABC, Chris Matthews of MSNBC, Michael Duffy of Time, and Bob Schieffer of CBS all asked Obama surrogates just what Obama would do during his second term. Not one Obama official had a good answer.

And that’s the problem for Obama. As we grow closer to the election, the American people are becoming more and more comfortable with Mitt Romney, and less and less comfortable with the president’s tacit slogan: “Trust me.” Obama simply hasn't earned our trust.

1. Raise taxes on the wealthy
2. ???
3. Prosperity

Any plan of what can and should be done next year is highly dependent on how the congress looks after the election, one thing is certain, no one is talking grand plans with the immovable wreckage we have now.

Mitt Romney is. He's talked about lowering tax rates across the board, simplifying the tax code, planning for energy independence within the next 10 years, addressing Medicare and Social Security so they don't go extinct.

I may be off, but i hope you're not saying that it's ok for Obama not to have specifics because we don't know what congress will look like... while Romney gets blasted by the left for not having specifics.

Sadly, that is what he's saying. Obama doesn't have a plan and hasn't had a plan.
But, we just need to trust him that hope and change will magically happen, barring "bad luck".

Obama isn't stupid! Why waste time developing plans for a second term that he knows will NEVER HAPPEN. And since he NEVER DEVELOPED any plans for his first term, he just relied on HOPE and CHANGE.

"tax the rich" is nothing more than a Socialist's class warfare tactic.....

Obama's real Plan.......

1. Downgrade America any way he can....

2. Implement Socialist/Communist ideas....

3. Partay on....

Romney is blowing smoke, you all know it for a fact and do not give a shit. How much do you think any president can accomplish when congress would not even vote for water if their asses were on fire? Maybe he is counting on the senate to flip?

Mitt was successful in Ma. when 87% of reps were democrats.
He does have a track record for actually reaching accross to the other side.
Unlike Obama's way of reaching accross by calling the republicans the enemy and telling them they could sit in the back of the bus. I guess that was his way when he said there is no red and there is no blue. :eusa_whistle:

massachusetts ranked 47th out of 50th in job creation when romney was governor.

as for 'reaching across the aisle'... what a joke. he uses a heritage foundation health plan and the rightwingnuts still called it socialism.

so how about a little honesty there? :eusa_whistle:

When you have 4.6% unemployment going for you, it's tough to have a lot of job creations going on in the state, Jillian. There is some honesty for you.

Romney was allowed to be moderate then, not so if he happens to win. The republicans in congress are not looking for a leader, they are looking for someone who will sign whatever they send him without any inconvenient show of individuality and take the fall when it all hits the fan. I wonder why Romney even wants the job?

Romney is at least talking about doing something different than what's being done now, with the effort of trying to spur some economic activity versus just "um, we'll tax and spend, er... 'invest'."

As noted in another thread, Obama has himself to blame for a lot of that. He basically insulted republicans when taking office by not even attempting to involve republicans in anything with his super majority. I would hope the republicans don't follow that same plan if/when they take majorities.

He insulted republicans by winning the election, unforgivable.

Romney is much more deserving than Obama is, Obama hasn't been up to the challenge. That IS the bottom line, and if Romney isn't up to the task, we'll have another election in 4 more years.

Not sure anyone is up to the task of getting republicans to put the country before their stinking party.

Strange you could even say that....Obama has been a failure as a president, yet you defend his failures. Seems with you it is party above country. :eusa_whistle:

No. He followed it up by either ignoring or disregarding anything that any republican had to say regarding anything because "they lost" and Obama didn't have to worry about it: he had a super majority in both houses.

You say that but you know it is not really true.
