"Los Angeles County is demanding that a judge force Vanessa Bryant and others to undergo a psychiatric evaluation before a lawsuit they filed against county officials goes to trial. The lawsuit is over those alleged leaked images of the crash that were reportedly shared by emergency responders. Families of the crash victims filed the lawsuit in September 2020 and are requesting undisclosed damages. Among their claims are violations of their civil rights and privacy and emotional distress.

Attorneys for the county said compelling the plaintiffs to undergo a doctor's evaluation is necessary "to evaluate the existence, extent and nature of Plaintiffs' alleged emotional injuries." "Plaintiffs cannot be suffering distress from accident site photos that they have never seen and that were never publicly disseminated."

And the county has a point -- how can you as a family member claim you are suffering emotional grief from something if you never seen the photos?? If some of the first responders at the scene had the opportunity to make some quick cash by selling photos of the mangled bodies of your children; how does that cause any family member any distress or suffering? We already ask our first responders to do enough, why sue them for taking advantage of a crisis and getting some financial benefit from it?? LA County has already been forced to pay out over 70 million already to families for police brutality, unlawful detentions and other stuff -- cut them a break.

What leaked photos?

The media was all over the crash site, and published everything they saw.

I guess gold diggers gotta keep digging. I doubt she’s all there mentally. Isn’t this the chick he gave a ring to after he was found raping women? LOL imagine how shallow you’d have to be to stay with a man cheating on you. It’s all about the Benjamins with these types.

How is that the fault of the police/sheriff? She’s trying to use the death of her daughter to make more millions. She does need a psych evaluation.

Her death wasn't. Passing around photo's of the crash was.

I don't think it is a horrible legal position to take. I mean if any of the officers had taken the photos and actually had sold them to anybody and they were published, she would have a stronger claim. At this point she is suing even people who took photos and deleted them without ever sharing them. That would be a tough path to her suffering any harm to make in most places. In California though, who knows. They don't have laws so much as Courts of Feelings.

If I was her, I would demand he take a psychological exam first. There is obviously something wrong with him.
To be fair, this is more about the insurance company that is going to have to pay out this settlement...they are going to want to know just how distressed the plaintiffs are

Where were these photos published?

They weren't but you know that and have to continue to move the goalpost and make crap up. They will win a judgement. Maybe someday people will grow tired of the police costing them millions and millions in settlements every year and demand accountability.

So no photos were actually leaked anywhere.

Which has nothing to do with what the Sheriff said. It's not his call but he just couldn't stop himself.

In her case---and her mother's case---talk about some greedy money motivated hos....
Talk about a sick poster who mocks a woman who lost her husband and child

Scum

Well for the Sheriff -- he knows there is a large segment of the population who are bootlickers and this will play well with them...

As you can see by the replies from the usual Conservative bootlickers on this messageboard
