BOSTON -- Sen. Edward Kennedy said he thinks sending more troops would only add to the problems in Iraq.
The Massachusetts Senator said on the morning show Fox News Sunday that a political resolution is "absolutely necessary."
Kennedy also told Chris Wallace that America has an "enormous moral obligation" to the Iraqis who are working with coalition troops. But, he said, so far we are failing them.
He said Democrats will support the troops so that they are not in harm's way.
Kennedy said he would support Sen. John Kerry if he decided to run for president.
But he also said he thought Barack Obama was talented, and that Obama, Kerry and Senators Hillary Clinton and Chris Dodd were "all better than our Republican friends."
