The damage is bad from a tornado. My niece and her family live there. We are waiting to hear. But initial reports are it's very bad. What the heck is going on with the weather?

Reports and pics are devastating. 600+ injured.

There have always been tornadoes, and the other bad stuff. This is not new.

Tornadoes don’t usually go through Little Rock or cause that much damage when they do. We lived there until a couple years ago. We moved to NW Arkansas. We got rain and wind here.

I've read where the old 1952 'Tornado Alley' seems to be shifting to the east:

We still get plenty of tornadoes in Arkansas, just not really bad ones in Little Rock till now.

We get plenty of them here in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, every year. I survived the mile wide tornado that wiped out Omaha on May 5th 1975.

The state had 109 tornados in 1999, their banner year.
