I think Karmelo Anthony is guilty as hell and overreacted to a confrontation.

But this is Texas and Texas has passed laws to pander to second amendment freaks.

Someone with a gun is not obligated to back away in a confrontation, can stand your ground, might makes right.

Reverse the races, and you don't get the same attitude.

Take Rittenhouse. He crossed state lines with an illegal weapon and shot three people. But with enough money and a judge making stupid decisions, he got a pass.

Because he was a white kid shooting black allies.

This confrontation may or may not have been about race.

But how Texas law is applied is certainly about race.
An all white jury will decide whether Anthony felt threatened.

A white jury might look at a 135 lb white being confronted by two 200 lb blacks as a threat requiring self defense.

They might not think a 135 lb black being confronted by two 200 lb whites is a similar threat

Closing arguments today. The prosecution called 21 witnesses. The defense called 6 witnesses. The testimony on both sides is not in Karmelo’s favor. The defense should have had Karmelo take the stand so he can explain to the jury why he felt his life was in danger. IMO that was his only chance.
