Real Christians? You mean the ones who don't believe in a worldwide flood?

Christians need to believe that the World Wide Flood is Entirely factual or they call Jesus the Messiah a liar. There is no scientific proof that refutes the FLOOD. There are of course theories that would be hurt if the FLOOD was accepted as factual. To call Christ a liar is ANTI-Christ.

Matthew 24:36-44
36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

Luke 17:26-27
And just as it happened in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: they were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.

To be sure, Jesus' analogy is of a local flood. When he speaks of God sparing Noah, He also speaks of God sparing Lot (Lk 1728-29). God spared Lot when He destroyed Sodom (Gen 19:1-29).

These incidents are analogous to His final judgment on Israel. He destroyed a city while sparing the righteous - the Christians who fled Jerusalem while that city fell under siege (the Olivet Discourse and book of Revelation).

They're all local - the flood, Sodom, Jerusalem. In the Bible, all of God's judgments are local.

So if it's a local flood, why all the animals on Noah's boat?

So, you believe all these incidents are "analogous". Is the incident of the VIRGIN Birth, the CRUCIFIXION, and the RESURRECTION all analogous? Just clever stories to entertain? Your train of thought merely takes you into a tunnel. Sorry, I don't buy it! There is far too much at stake...

I didn't say anything about the virgin birth, the crucifixion, or the resurrection being analagous. Where did you get that from?
