I could not recognize the red shape so had to look it up.
And they are including the Great Lakes as part of MI.
Over half that red area is water.

It's not. That's the point of the app.
Sizes are greatly distorted on a flat map as you move closer to the poles.

I dragged Iceland into Poland so you get the real size

I could not recognize the red shape so had to look it up.
And they are including the Great Lakes as part of MI.
Over half that red area is water.

I never knew where Isle Royale was. Sure didn't realize it was that far north

You have no idea the value of fresh water in this world today.

You act like that is salt water.



. . . and to top that all off. . . some of that area is some of the most navigated, most used area of maritime waterways in North America. Chicago would not be the city it is w/o the Mississippi and those red areas.
